I wanted to do B.Tech. Faculties are okayish. Teaching method is average. Term exams are taken every month. It's very easy to pass. The faculties have a PHD degree from good colleges. Ratio of faculty : student is 1:50 or 1:60.

Internships Opportunities

There are no internships or companies that have a regular visits to our college. Some companies come to the college just for the purpose of mass recruiting. The projects and outputs depend on the company you want to go in.

Placement Experience

Placements are not done here on campus. The placement cell is useless. They don't do anything. Basically, if you're taking admission in this college, you are on your own. You'll have to build your own skills and apply for off campus interviews and companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike policy hasn't been applied here. The cost is very less as compared to other private colleges. You can avail scholarships too. Though I didn't apply for financial assistance, but you can do that too if your financial background is weak.

Campus Life

Fests are conducted rarely. It's because this college is not directly under the government. So the faculties and the admin eat off the money. Fests are conducted after taking money from children. Library is okayish. Sports and extra curricular activities are okayish. Clubs are useless. websites owned by the college are also built on a very less secured server. There are no girls in the campus. So the socializing part is completely zero.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are also useless. They promise you a speed of 1 Gbps on wifi. But in reality it is very rare if the speed even crosses 5-10 Mbps. Most of the times, the wifi also stays down for hours or even a whole day. Washrooms are the dirtiest. Don't expect hygiene at all.

Hostel Fee: INR 54600 per year

Admission

Admission in B.Tech is done through JEE main. Application form is downloaded from jeemain.nta.nic.in. Reservation is there in cutoffs for OBC, SC and ST students. The JEE main application is generally issued in the month of December.

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

GEU has the best Placements!

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

Engineering in Gurukul Kangri Deemed to be University, Haridwar

It was the only college offering CSE during JOSAA councilling based on my JEE Mains score, so I decided to opt for it without thinking twice. I was offered a seat in special CSAB round. Seats are offered based on JEE Mains scores. Lateral entry for diploma holders is offered directly in 2nd year based on the examination conducted by the University.
