Remarks

Education is good and also fees is affordable. Infrastructure, extra curricular activities is only bad thing of our college. its still under development its progressively increasing in terms of educational quality, faculty are very supportive and well experienced, infrastructure is the only thing that is lacking in this college, overall its above average

Entrance Preview

I had written CET exam, but i didnt go through the exam, i had joined directly through management as fees was cheaper in management than going through CET, I had planned to take either computer science and mechanical, but then i thought mechanical would be a better option for me as i was more interested above machines.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As i said i chose mechanical engineering since i had more interest over machines, so i was interested to much more about machines, our college comes under vtu so syllabus and examination are conducted by this university, its more focused on theory and less on practical that is what i feel, its not practically focused, and in terms of research our college is providing some facilities for students who are in interested in robotics, aeronautics and some other fields we are conducting some technical events in our college so as to bring more knowledge to students, so this about the courses in our college.

Internships Opportunities

College did not provide any internship, we students through our personal interest went some industries for internships, there was no stipend amount given.

Placement Experience

1.5

The placement in our college is worst, only two or three students get placed in branch every year, no major companies visited our college, average package also was about 5-6 lakhs per annum.

College Events

3.5

There some of events in our college like college day, onam celebration, branch association inauguration l of various departments, depavali celebration, and some time technical events like TECH YUVA a national level competition for engineering and diploma students, the events were not as big as we expected the college did not provide that much money, the contribution was average.

Fee Structure And Facilities

According to me its one of the best fee structures, because when it comes to engineering we talk about lakhs and lakhs of money, but in our college it was affordable for everyone, i joined directly through management, i have a fees of about 55,000 per year, so in terms of fee structure its one of the best, thats what feel.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes college has many scholarships such as e-pass, minority scholarship are provided so that students can avail it.

Campus Life

1.5

In terms of extracurricular activities our college was pretty much average, they are more focused on studies and less on extracurricular activities but slowly they are improving in terms of extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I live in my home its only 30km to college one way, so i have no experience about hostels, but some of my friends live in pg's and hostels, the college hostel is far from out college its about 25 km away, they have college bus facilities for coming to college from hostel, hostel is very good and they have no problems. There are some of my friends who live in pg's also they are near to college within the walking distance so its not a problem for students in terms of hostel and pg facilities. There are many restaurants and also markets where some of my friends go and have food and they aslo cook for themselves in pg as there is market where they can by all theyre needs. the hostel and pg rentals are also affordable not so expensive.there is aslo college canteen, as our is an integrated college campus we have medical College, engineering, and a hospital.

Alumni/Alumna

There no alumni in our college, so there is no contribution of alumni to our college.

Exam Structure

Yes as i said our college comes under vtu and that one of the worst universities, they will releast the results on previous days of exams, it takes them 3-4 months to give results after exams, every semester there will be lab exams and written exams,so im not at all liking the vtu because of its system i feel its one of the worst.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty in our college, are not very much experienced, majority of them are recent pass outs from college, and they have industrial experiences, very few experienced staff are there in our college, its a little drawback.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
