Remarks

The Overall College experience was not that good but there is one important point I’d like to add is that to NEVER EXPECT from this college, as they mostly do prioritize money over knowledge. So, I’d like to also add that the best pass in the exams with good grades is just to Study from the books and then write the exams with a good presentation. ALL THE BEST

Entrance Preview

No, I did not write any college entrance test to get admission. But I do know that the college only accepts C.E.T seats and not COMEDK applicants. I had to take admission in this college as this was the only college near my home that could offer the course of my choice. NO, there was no interview process followed by the college in order to get admission in my current course. I decided to opt for ‘Mechatronics’ as it has a high scope and also has all my favorite subjects involved.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course I chose was pretty good. But there is very less focus on the practical learning in our college. The whole syllabus has very minimum importance to practical learning. I can say that there is almost no importance given to it. NO, there are no research initiatives taken by our institute as far as I know. But we can do it individually if we like, as the faculties do support it. We do have elective options available in some cases.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide an internship facility as much as I know. But the faculty and department do support whenever there is an internship available externally, i.e. the people who directly approach from companies. There are several options available from time to time but all are not available all the time as the college does not any effort for its upbringing. I do not know anything about the average stipend Amount.

Placement Experience

1.5

I don’t know much about the placement scenario as I’m still in the second year. But little do I know that this time only 5% of the students from our department got placed in interviewing companies. There are several major companies that come to our college for interview, some of them are ‘TechMahindra, Toyota, Infosys, Biocon, HGS, IBM, Nissan, Volvo, Amazon, Macro Systems, and so on.’

College Events

2.5

Yes, there are fests organized by the college for various departments. They do celebrate an “Inaugural day” on the first day of the commencement of the engineering semester. And there is also a college annual day function. The functions organized by the college are big and they do provide food, drinks, sweets and prizes on some competitions. I don’t know about the footfall. The college authorities do not contribute much in the organizing of the functions. But one can definitely get the permission to host or hold a special function with the help of their respective departments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Fees structure for my course was not affordable for me as I am a management student. I had to pay around Rs.2 lakhs for a single year. The Fees includes Tuition Fees, Library Fees, Internet Fees, Lab fees and several other fees for every individual facility provided by the college. The fee also includes Placement training fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, the college does not provide any scholarship and neither does it provide any loan to the students getting admissions. But they do have third party contacts, that do offer such facilities such as Vijaya Bank, and other sources. No, I did not avail for any scholarship or loan from the college facilities. Yes, the college does help by providing us a variety of sources from which we can get educational loan.

Campus Life

2

The college does not support much in the extra-curricular activities but they help in organizing such events externally such as the departments. There are various competitions hosted by the college departments, such as marathon for a “Green Earth”, Football club, Kabaddi Competitions, Cricket Tournaments, Software developing competitions, Gaming Competitions and much more.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

No, I do not reside in the hostel as I travel every day from my home. I do know a little about the hostel rooms. The rooms are sharing, sometimes up to 3 guys in a room. They have no PG’s, but several private PG’S do exist around the college. The hostel fee was around ‘Rs. 80,000 – Rs. 1 Lakh as far I can say. The hostel food was not satisfactory but the hostel mess does provide vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods on specific days. There are no washing machines available in the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no interaction with the Alumni, hence there is not a good Alumni network available in the campus. No, the college does not provide any platform student-alumni interaction mostly. No, the alumni do not contribute much in the development of the college as the projects displayed in the college are more than 10 years old. But we were given enough support in order to make such contributions by our department.

Exam Structure

The exams were very tiring for me. It was not at all a chill culture. The internal tests were not at all stress-free since we usually have the internals to have 2 subjects in a day for three continuous days. But they do have a short break between each. However, the external exams are not that stress-full but they have lot to cover. They usually have around 2-3 days holiday in between each test subject.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties in our department are definitely qualified but all are not much experienced as our college does take freshers for faculties. Most of the faculties are interactive but not all. Some faculties are good at teaching and are also able to make classes interesting, but majority of the faculties are not so good at teaching, as they are freshers and have very little knowledge of the subject. Thus, they make the classes boring.
