Overall study in the college is first class but I think placement and internship opportunities rate is very less.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose Psychology, History and Economics in my course BA and my main subject is Psychology, I have chosen the psychology because there are many future opportunities in this course. In my class there were 50-80 students. And a professor and a assistant professor. The professor Madam was very good teacher and too humble. Every month there were many assignments was prepared by us and also give some quarterly and half yearly exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

In my college time no more internship offers was came. Some unpaid internships was offered for us to social welfare and some are paid. Many of my classmates accept the intership offer and do. These are the some companies which offer internships - TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Cipla ect.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was very minimal fees because this is the government college. I have paid around 6000 per year for 3 years. The scholarship is given by the state government. The campus was not given any type of stipend or like that.

Campus Life

4

Very annual fests done by the college administration and different clubs or groups on different occasions throughout the year. The college have a big play ground for different games, so many types of sports go on throughout the year.

Admission

Admission in this college is on the basis of merit. I was applied in this college in May 2018 and the merit list for admission was published in the last of May and luckily I met the cutoff marks. I have paid the 1200 rupees as University fee and 5000 annual fee to college. May be some changes are done in last years in the admission procedure like now all fees will submit online.

Other Applied Colleges

Jawaharlal Nehru University - [JNU] | Master of Business Administration [MBA]

Merit cut-off goes very high

Placement Experience:

For campus placements, 6th semester students are eligible. There are various companies which visit our campus for the campus recruitment process some of them are IDFC First Bank, Adda 24x7, Piramal Finance, etc. The highest package offered was 5 lacs and the average package as per company was 350000. 40-50 percentage of the students are getting placements in the college every year. After the BBA Degree, I am planning for the Masters Degree for better placement. |

I'd rate BA Hons English curriculum at BHU 4.5/5. Strengths: comprehensive literature coverage, language skills development, and critical thinking. Weaknesses: limited focus on contemporary literature and digital humanities. Prepares well for academics, writing, and teaching careers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The sociology course teaches me the norms of our society and family we live in. This course will provide a vast knowledge about the society and culture and this made me to choose this course. The time given is enough to complete the course and to understand it . The exams are conducted after every six months so the difficulty level is moderate.

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Nov 15, 2024(Enrolled 2018)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.
