Likes

Teachers are good and motivating. Also some great mentors.
Enjoyed my first year in hostel, made some good friends.
Good playground for football and cricket.

Dislikes

I really disliked the mess food and canteen food.
College is far from hostel and rooms , may face Transport issue.
After 1st year there are no hostels only selected students got hostels.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose B.tech in computer science and engineering because I have a very keen interest in technology and coding. The faculty is great I really found some great mentors here . Teachers and we'll qualified and some of having there phd degree's.

Class Size: 110Course Fees: INR 84000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

From 6th semester students become eligible for placement. Placements here are average not so good not soo bad. Average package is around 5 lakh per annum. In our time highest package was 8.5 lakh as a role of sde. Mostly all students in cse got placed but due to recession it was not good this time. I worked for 4 months now I am preparing for gate DA.

Fees and Financial Aid

My per year fees was around 84k. I didn't got any scholarship but some of my friends having scholarship and college help them to get those scholarship. They got different state government scholarship some of having AICTE scholarship.

Campus Life

First year was in hostel it was great. But from 2nd year some selected students only got hostels . In my batch from 2019 to 2023 there was no annual fest but yaa 2023 they are having a tech and annual fest both in the month of November. Library is good. Classroom are good having smart boards. Sports is good there is sports function like football, cricket and many more games. I didn't found any social group there.

Admission

I got admission through jossa counseling. I got 40k rank rank in Jee mains . I think there is seperate exam also you can get admission through from that as well. It was a smooth process it only take one day visit and all done on that date only.

Things to Know about Uttaranchal University before admission.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Geu provides best intenrships!

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

Placement Experience:

Our college has a very good placement ratio and placement also depends on the economy and industry that year and a lot lf other factor but if you have a CGPA of above 8 you are moat likely to get placed. The highest package ranges from 2-3 crores and average goes around 13lpa. I am currently planning to do an MBA after graduation from a foreign university moat likely Harvard.

Engineering in Gurukul Kangri Deemed to be University, Haridwar

It was the only college offering CSE during JOSAA councilling based on my JEE Mains score, so I decided to opt for it without thinking twice. I was offered a seat in special CSAB round. Seats are offered based on JEE Mains scores. Lateral entry for diploma holders is offered directly in 2nd year based on the examination conducted by the University. Firstly we need 12th pass with 75% marks then crack the jee mains examination and sit in the josaa counseling then go into the csab counseling after the counseling crl rank under the 1lakh .
