THE COURSE WAS GOOD. THE PROFESSOR(DEPENDS) HELPS A LOT ON PRACTICAL LEARNING . THE PROFESSORS HAVE Ph.D. MEMBERS WORKING UNDER THEM.

THERE ARE ABOUT 16 FESTS (TECH, CULTURAL,MANAGEMENT). We Enjoy a lot in Cultural fest. Entrepreneurship fair was happening from last 2 years.

Campus Life

Yes we do get ample time for extracurricular activities. Our college football team won many runner up trophies. And we many gold medals in athletics from past few years.

Hostel Facilities

YES, COLLEGE PROVIDES HOSTEL. SHARING 3 PER ROOM FOR I,II,III YEARS OF ENGG AND SINGLE ROOM FOR FINAL YEAR CANDIDATE. WE DON'T HAVE PAYING GUEST(BUT AVAILABLE TO PARENTS). THE PAY FOR HOSTEL IS INCLUDED IN THE COLLEGE FEES. THE FOOD TASTES BAD UNLESS ITS CHICKEN CURRY.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Network is good. We have Facebook group called Nit Durgapur Alumni Association. We frequently get helps from the group.

Exam Structure

THE TIME TABLE MAKES US TO CHILL BUT NOT THAT MUCH IN FIRST YEAR. Exam culture was bit tough.

PROFESSORS ARE OF PhD LEVEL, AND SOME ARE OF COMPLETING PhD. THEY CARE FOR YOU UNTIL THE CLASS GETS DISMISSED.

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

Companies started coming around 7 th semester there is different criteria for different companies like you have more tan nine cgpa then you are eligible for that particular company. Around 50 percent people in my class get placed . Companies like TCS ,wipro EY are mass hiring company.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

My Honest Review For Nit Durgapur

Placement Experience:

Yes our college offers campus placements.Students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements.Many reputed nation and international companies like microsoft,Wipro,TCS, Infosys and many more companies offrers placement every year in this college. arrording to 2025 deta overall placement rate was 82 percent, Highest packege was 80 lpa and average packege was 12.6lpa. My only plan to get a good placements.

If you can't get campus placement , there is a high probability if you can apply for any job outside campus and you have relevant skills you can get it . Placement Experience:

Here students become eligible to sit in campus placement from 6th semester. Many companies come here. The average package here is 5 lakhs and the highest here is 20 lakhs it's gone.Here 95% of the students get placement.My plan is to do M.Tech after completing my degree.

I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. Admission process- You will have to qualify jee mains to get admission in this college wit a rank under 50 thousand to get a goo branch.Then you will have to sit in josaa councelling then follow the next steps....Read More

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for.
