Remarks

The college is pretty much good as it focuses on practical study. One and the only bad thing about here is the high attendance fines. You have to keep your attendance above 85% for a 0% fine

Entrance Preview

Comedk score preference was given. I was in the first batch of engineering.i scored 64 in comedk examination. Now the university organises its own entrance examinations.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very unique. Since its a BTech course much focus is given over practical work. In the initial years, the focus was over the basics such as networking, data analytics, Etc. Over the years over interest were further refined by choosing elective subjects. In the last semesters, the focus was shifted over project works

Placement Experience

4

Since I was from the first batch, the placements were comparatively good compared to other colleges with first passing batches. Although major companies didn't show up. The package was between 3-7 lac pa across all branches. The placement was around 65%

College Events

4

The college celebrates a number of cultural activities such as : Akira: it is the cultural fest of the college that occurs in the month of march and lasts for 2 days Technical fests also occur where projects are exhibited by students all across the campus The university also celebrates a number of special occasions such as ganesh Chaturthi, Karnataka rajyotsava

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is 2 lacs for people coming from outside Karnataka and around 50-60 k for localites. The fee structure is reasonable when compared to other colleges. 5 thousand is taken each year as examination fees. This is the fee structure for engineering branches. The attendance fine is around 500-1000 per subject if attendance shortage is there

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, it is there. The college provides scholarship for the university topper and fees concessions for st, sc, obc and localites.

Campus Life

4

The college has people from all across the india. Also, there is some foreign crowd. There are no cases of ragging or discrimination of any sort within the campus.( ragging is strictly prohibited inside) Different events are celebrated to make sure each race or religion is given importance

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel is well equipped with all major facilities such as wifi, shower etc. Shared room is there(2 in 1 room). Chairs and study table is in each room for each student. Separate cupboards are there for each student. Fees are around 45000 per year and mess fees is around 4000 a month. The food quality is a total disaster. My personal advice would be to take a flat outside the campus and have good food.

Alumni/Alumna

Since we are the first passed out batch we are the first alumni. Although we had a help from m tech students

Exam Structure

There are two assignments and two tests in a semester with a gap of 3 weeks each. The lab exams take place 2-3 weeks prior to main exams. The scheduled is overall relaxed but it is competitive as we had to study for all the assignments, tests. Component 1- 50 marks Component 2- 50 marks In component 1 tests and assignments is there and in comp 2 final exam is there We have to score atleast 20 in each component

Admission

The university was just formed at the time. It already had dental, pharmacy, management within it. But engineering was new. I contacted the admissions department directly and based on my comed k score and 10th, 12th marks which needed to be greater than 45% i was granted admission to btech cse

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is too good and highly educated. Teaching medium is english. The staff is friendly although sometimes student gets frustrated over heavy attendance fines. The college is pretty young and individual focus is given to students. More over for electives, only the best qualified are chosen to teach the course

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
