IIIT RANCHI - A COLLEGE OF OPPORTUNITIES

So starting from the beginning all I wanted is a college that has good placement average and also it has a national importance so I choose this college. Talking about the faculty, the faculty is quite good with the behaviour and with the interaction with students . They always communicate with the students whenever needed. There are total of faculties and approx 600 students in the college. All have done phd and have a decent experience. The exam schedule is like in two parts ...first midsem and then endsem. The exam dates are very appropriate as it is designed in the earlier.

As our college participates in almost all tech events like hackathon. There are many internship opportunities but as I am new in the college , I don't have such knowledge regarding it. There are many societies and cultures of coding in the college so you can estimate the outcomes . College is situated in the capital of the state jharkhand . So many nearby as well as decent companies comes in it. Also , the college of national importance gives an edge to a student all over to get internship opportunities.

From 6th sem, you are eligible for the placement. Name of top companies are nykaa , jio , commvault , tata , oneplus etc The average package for cse was 17.01 and for ece it was 16.42 The percentage of students getting placed are - Computer Science and Engineering-90.16% Electronics and Communication Engineering - 86.96% Overall - 88.79% My plan is to get a decent placement as the college is providing it.

The fee structure (per semester) for my batch is - >1,10,000 rs for tution fee , 15000 for institute fee , 18000 for the hostel fee and 18000 for the mess fee. That gives a total of 1,61,000 rupees. And that is the overall expense to study in IIIT RANCHI. As till now , I have not availed any scholarship and there is no scholarship given by the college . You have to get this benifit from the other scholarship platform from online.

Life in the campus is quite good as well as peaceful. As I have just joined the college thats way i am unaware of the annual fest but all I know is there are many clubs in this college - cultural clubs, sports club and the most important coding clubs . Yes there in a library - but quite disappointing because it is not opened full time and it doesn't have all the books that can fulfill all the requirements of an engineering student. There are many sports facilities expect for the basketball. Because there is no basketball court in the campus . You have to go outside of the campus to play basketball. I have already talken about the clubs all that can be in a college ...all are there in this college.

The rooms are i can say the best part of the college. It has full facilities that even some iits doesn't have. The hostels are in the form of flats. There are 4 flats on a floor and there all are 2 bhk. So 6 people live in a particular flat. The best part is all are new and with full facitilies . Even a building has some rooms that has AC but not running officially. But as an engineering student, if you have not done any mischief that what you have done . The food quality is not so good . I can say it is only edible. The registration process is very simple , the registration of college and hostel goes on the same time without any hurry. And the security staff is also very cooperative.

First I appered for the JEE MAINS 2023 that conducted two times.The application fee was 1000 ?. My first attempt was on 1 February in the morning shift . I scored approx 75 percentile in the first attempt . I was very disappointed with the results. After that I did hardwork and gave the second attempt on 13 april in the morning shift and scored approx 94.6 percentile in the exam. Than I took place in the councelling process. There are two types of councelling for the all over india , the first is JOSAA councelling and the second is CSAB round . Josaa councelling has 6 rounds but unfortunately I didn't get the expected college so i withdraw my seat . After that I applied for the CSAB round and I still didn't get a good college in the first round but in the second and this is the final round i got this college with ece branch that is also from the category reservation as I belong to OBC-NCL category. So in the end, I think the selection process is good as it has to be .
