- Infrastructure is also good with there being all basic things in classrooms.
- Course is very interesting and will help to do a lot of good things.
Dislikes
- Fees is very high for a government college.
- There are too many monkeys in the campus.
- There are too many dogs who wouldn't allow you have to have ur lunch properly.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because this was the best option available to me. Dtu has much less academic pressure in comparison to IIITD and lenient attendance policy unlike NSUT. The faculty: student ratio is 1:10. The faculty is highly qualified. Our endterm exams were approximately 2 months after midterm exams. They were not so difficult to pass. Studying a few days before the exams can work well only if you have a clear cut idea of concepts in each subject.
Internships Opportunities
Internship stipend ranges from 2lakh-45000 a month and is offered by various companies like Adobe, Amazon, Google, Flipkart, Uber, apple, Deloitte, EY,KPMG, etc. they offer a handsome amount of money to the deserving students.
Placement Experience
From the third year the placement companies come on campus. A lot of big companies like Google, Amazon, etc as well as small companies visit campus each year. Highest package recorded was 82.05 lpa in 2023 and average package is 16 lpa. Placement ratio varies from 88-93 %. My plan is to get placed in a decent software based company after getting degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is really high which is not expected from a government institute. It almost costs a students 2,40,000 rs. Per annum and if you include the cost of hostel it goes as high as 3.5 lakh rs. which is a really huge amount. Several scholarships are provided by dtu based on academic or non academic grounds.
Campus Life
Dtu organizes a lot of fest. And a decent amount of money is invested in the fests. Some of them are: engifest, food fest, Diwali mela, etc. Ample of books and journals are available in the library which can be availed by students. Classrooms have all basic infrastructure. Classes in PB have acs as well. There is a huge sports complex with space for various activities like badminton, cricket, etc. There are societies for drama, dance, music and art
Hostel Facilities
We have three beds, two fans, lights, study table and chair, cupboard as well as acs in our rooms. The mess food has variety of items in breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner but the quality of food is not good. Registration process is easy. It is affordable.
Admission
A candidate should get 60% of aggregate in physics chemistry and maths and should have passed English in order to sit for jac counseling ( Which is the counseling process that leads you to institutes like IIITD,DTU and NSUT). They should also clear the category cutoff (jee mains) for getting into their desired course. For eg:- For DTU,ECE (inside delhi candidate) the cutoff rank was around 26k. You can apply to the college through jac Delhi website. I don't belong to any reserved category. However, being an inside delhi candidate it was a lot more easier to get into this college since 85% seats are reserved for Delhi candidate. I feel that the admission process is really smooth and no changes are required.
Other Applied Colleges
Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mathematics and Computing)
The reason being that administration is really strict. In dtu we have no issues with attendance however this is not same in case of nsut
