Campus: Indian institute of Technology Guwahati is having the best campus all over india. We live in the most beautiful and mesmerizing campus of india.
Culture: Institute is having a great culture of celebrating festivals of all religions .
Placements: Afterall all we need is a high salary when we graduate. And institute provides it every time.

Dislikes

Location: After being most beautiful campus in india..we need to travel a long distance to went city
Food: After being foodie . I dint got that tasty street food neither in campus nor in entire guwahati city.
Academics : after qualifying the toughest exam of india we need to carry on that stuggle to score well in college exams

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course before i am very enthusiastic about electronics devices. So wanted to learn about their working and all . Faculty of our institue are very highly qualified . Exams are quite difficult to pass on .

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies provide internship opportunities in our campus such jane street, amazon , microsoft ,google , infosys, bajaj, etc. For technical companies we need to qualify coding round . Projects we can make on topic such as blockchain and all.

Placement Experience

We are having great placements. Afterall we all know about iit placements . We are having a high average package every year. Almost 100% placements , many students have pre placement offers. Highest package reaches 2cr every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is 1,25,000 per semester and we need to pay 33,000 for mess and hostel. There are many scholarships available for the students on basis of cpi, caste, income. Placements are best out there.

Campus Life

We are multiple fests , Alcheringa our cultural fest , Techniche our technical fest, Spirit our sports fest , Udgam . We are having a huge library with soo many books and capacity of around 1000 students.

Hostel Facilities

We provided many hostel facilities. For first three year we need to live on sharing basis , 2 in a room then we are alloted single rooms . We are provied quality food thrice a day from our hostel mess .

Hostel Fee: INR 33000 per year

Admission

I got admission through JEE advanced .Firstly we need to qualify jee mains after that we are eligible to give jee advanced.Yes category benefits were availed. My category rank was 464 and AIR was around 14k.

Interview Experience

No i dint face any any interview or group discussion for admission. I just qualified jee mains and jee advanced . I prepared though online courses for the enterance exam . From online platforms like physics wallah

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Overall good university which offers good internships and placement.

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Placement Experience:

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester, one is eligible for Placements. This year(2024-25) 68 percent placement is done for B.Tech. Those who don't get placements either go for higher studies, UPSC, GATE, and some get job by referral from College Alumni.

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement student are eligible from 7th sem and for internship whole 3rd year 5th to 6th sem. Highest package till now is 34 lpa i guess in intuit .and lowest 6lpa.I am totally focus into doing job rsther than doing higher studies .Iam placed at Deloitte and i am happy.till now 50 percent students of civil got plsced 80 percent Cse

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
