Remarks
As the college is a quite old one the building is bot too good and the mechanical and electrical department do not have their own buildins as they are not in a condition to be used due to its degradation of material. It will get ready in 3-4 years. One more is that you'll have to give more than needed respect to the seniors which i think is useless. College canteen is a huge one but the facilities are not so huge so do not exoect very much from the college canteen.
Entrance Preview
I was a part of a Jee training institute...but due to no selection of iit or nit I too a decision to take admission in this college as anybody will do the same. I git admission in this college through merit basis in the MHT-CET examination conducted the previous year. The admission process takes a long method of filling up the form and then submitting it to the college. The process goes through ARC then FC in a respected district and finally you get admission to the college. I scored 123 in the exam so I got the admission in b.tech mechanical engineering in the 4th round...so you can imagine the competition for the college as it is a government college
Course Curriculum Overview
In the first year all the branches have the same course and it is helpful for an engineer's mind development and everything is in basic form of Every department. You get to learn many things about what other branches work upon and yes the course if very good. You understand the concept thoroughly if you study great
Internships Opportunities
College till now did not provide any internship to any student by its own. The student him/herself have to give an application form for applying for internship and then the college grabts permission. There's no problem in getting any sort of internship. Many are interns of ford conpany workshop and in maruti suzuki also
Placement Experience
As the college does not come in the industry area. Its not that many companies come to the college. But the Student get selected for the jobs. Companies like TCS, fiat, and other core companies were part of placement last year. From mechanical bramch about 13-14 students were selected for jobs. The other students were also capable but the chose to study further instead. The packacges were ranging from 3 lacks per annum to 6 lakh ler annum for different students.
College Events
There are many events taken in the college. Some of them are minor events like Aagaz for overall development and fun, Persona for personality management, ect and two and major events for the college. One is Zenith. It is the event of the cultural program. It is taken fir two days and felicitations and given. Other is Prajwalan which is central India's largest techfest as per we have heard it consists of various technical events. Sports also are jeld under the name to KCT(kalpana chavla trophy) which is olayed against the other branches in college.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know for loans bt some scholarship are given to the students like obc and ebc scholarships, others are rajsrshi shahu maharaj scholarship etc. Student get scholarship on the basis of merit list and the caste and category of them.
Campus Life
You stand a very good Chance fir development of yourself in the college if youbtake all the event seriously. There are many events like debate and robotics under persona and prajwanal which were discussed earlier. The college life is not so stressed too. You get to enjoy so much with seniors also. If you are part of any committy then it helps you a lot in your ovelall development. Sports are also heldand carried for almost 2 months continuously bt with the regular college. No discrimination upon gender and race. You get a very friendly atmosphere.
Hostel Facilities
As per my view now there are two hostels for boys and two hostels for girls. In boys, m.tech students do not live but m.tech girls live in girls hostel. 2 more boys hostel are going to be opened within 2-3 years for more accommodation. The hostel mess food is better than what I was expecting. You get a say with a daal every time. On Wednesdays, dinner is with eggs for the interested. And on Friday you get chicken if you are interested.
Alumni/Alumna
At the start of the college it is like seniors are the worst enemies of ours in the college but when the college proceeds you get to know them and they eventually the become the most helping friends of ours in the college. Alumna also have interactive session through another program known as alumni meet held every year for the sake of students.
Exam Structure
The experience for the examination is very chill. There were 6 exams in the first year. 4 of them were like unit tests or we can say class tests of 15 marks each. And 2 remaining exams were the semester of each subject. The labs' experience was not too good. The lavs are equipped but the collection is in a scattered way. Many apparatus was not working. Lets hope it comes new for next year
Admission
When the results are declared you have to go to ARC center in the college for the verification of your choices of the colleges you made after filling the form online. When the process of ARC is over then comes FC where you have to again do the same and take a legal print out of your college form. You'll have to take all the documents to the respected allotted college for further admission. In the college you have to submit all the documents and you have to pay the fees thus you are admitted to the college for first year.
Faculty
The faculty in the premices of the college is highly qualified. Even from IITs and NITs. They teach well bt you will also have to study hard if you are interested in having good acore because good marks do not come in funny manner. You'll have to study hard if you want to get even to get a grade above 8 pointer so competition is tough
