Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to pursue PGDM after my graduation. The faculty:student ratio for Batch 2023-2025 is 16:120 Most of our faculty did PGDM/MBA and some of them also did PhD. Currently, few are also pursuing a PhD. Their teaching method is very engaging and interactive, they encourage us to think and apply our learning. Our institute follows a trimester course pattern therefore 3 terms in a year. We have a mid-term of 25 marks and an end-term of 40 marks, so 6 exams in a year. They follow a relative grading system.
Internships Opportunities
The batch 2023-2025 summer internship process has already started from 2nd term onwards and 4 students have already been placed. Companies that offered summer internships before are Tata Global Beverages, Titan, KPMG, EY, Hungerbox, Yamaha, Federal Bank, etc.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from the 5th trimester for campus placements. The companies that visited the campus this year are EY, Royal Enfield, Urbam Clap, HDFC Bank, Reliance Jio, Tata Steel, ITC Limited, Coal India, Oil India Limited, Infosys etc. Current average CTC: 10.26 and Highest CTC: 14.30 100% placed in the years 2021, and 2022. 94.44% placed in the year 2023.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total course fee including the hostel fee is 1169400. They also provide scholarship opportunities mentioned on the website under the admission category. Scholarship such as the Chairman's Medal, Cash prize of Rs. 20,000 and certificate for the student scoring highest CGPA in the two - year PGDM programme. Current avergae package of 2023 Graduation Batch: 10.26
Campus Life
Campus life at Xime Kochi is a vibrant experience that goes beyond the academic realm, offering students a rich tapestry of social, cultural, and extracurricular activities. Sporting events, club activities, and cultural events contribute to a lively atmosphere, fostering personal growth and leadership skills. There are 8 clubs in Xime Kochi: Finitiative(Finance Club), Hruday(HR Club), MarkXime(Marketing Club), X-Ops(Operation Club), X-Seed(Social Club), Empressario(Entrepreneurship Club), MADX (Music, Art, and Dance Club), and X-Prowess(Sports Club). They hold club activities that are engaging and fun. There are many books and journals of all kinds available in the Library.
Hostel Facilities
Xime Kochi is a residential campus therefore it is compulsory for students to stay on the campus. There are different hostels for Boys and Girls. Girls Hostel is inside the campus and Boys hostel is beside the campus. The rooms are shared by two people with an attached bathroom and a water cooler on every floor. We have 4-5 washing machines at each hostel. The quality of the mess food is good compared to what we have been hearing about hostel food from our parents since childhood. They provide 3 meals per day, the fee of which is included in the total fee. They also provide snacks with additional charges.
Admission
I got into this college through my MAT score. The application process was smooth and no issues were there filling out the application form. The cut-off was 70%. I found the application form easily on the website.
Interview Experience
My admission process included a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview following that. I prepared for the interview rounds by watching YouTube videos about how to tackle MBA interviews and websites that mention current affairs topics.
