Likes
- Curriculum - the curriculum of IIIT L is too good as compared to NITs . I would say it's the best for a cs oriented college.
- Senior Junior interaction - seniors are always there to help you out . There is a culture of tech parent and tech child which helps the students a lot .
- Peer group - the peer group is really competitive, everyone is studying really hard which makes you also to push yourself to study
Dislikes
- Campus is small. The area granted by the government is not built by the college authorities.
- Hostels - hostels are also not built even though there is space allocated for them to built.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to pursue pure CS which I won't have found in nits. In NITs in first year you are taught every subjects like chemical civil Mechanical but in IIIT L you directly start with coding from the first day itself . We have technical club named AXIOS in which seniors take classes for juniors and teach them . The faculty is also good.
Internships Opportunities
The internships are made available by the college in the third year . For the girls the internships opportunities may start from second year. You can also apply for the internships on your on own without the help of college.
Placement Experience
The campus placement starts from 4th year . In 3rd year we get internship. You can see the companies visited from the college website. The average package as of 2023 was 30.52 lpa and the median package was 25 lpa. The highest 59 lpa oncampus, off campus highest placement was 1.2 CR. 100% students got placed in 2022 and 2023.
Fees and Financial Aid
You can easily get loan from the bank came in college The scholarship department helps the students a lot in availing the scholarships. Scholarships like NSP , UP postmatric, Medhavi scholarship etc are available.
Campus Life
The annual fest is EQUINOX and is held in February or March. Another fest named ENSPIRE is held in October or November Library is available in the campus. Classrooms have wifi , ACs and good quality chairs for the students. Sports society named Eifer takes care of sports activities.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels for the first year are away from the campus ( only for the boys , girls are accomodated in the campus), approx 1.5 km . Mess quality is good. Menu has diverse items . Menu is made such a way that it covers items from all the region south north everywhere. The breakfast and evening snacks are really nice , lunch and dinner are average.
Admission
If you want to pursue btech from IIIT LUCKNOW, you will need atleast 99 percentile ( for cs and csai branches) in JEE MAINS , for other branches it may be 98.7 or 98.8 percentile as of previous year . I don't know the cutoff for other reserved categories , you might see them on college pravesh . The admission process is through JOSAA and CSAB counseling.
