The college keeps you stressed out, but pushes you to give in your best. The professors are very approachable and the director is the best.

A separate exam called the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) had to be written. I scored 92 out of 150 and made it through to round 2 as the cut off was 78. SCMC is the top media college in the country and offers a brilliant filmmaking course.

After every semester, there is an internship. First three semesters are NGO internships while the next two are industry internships. The stipend depends on the hiring company, but the college takes 70% of your earnings during an internship.

One of the most popular reasons for students to join SCMC is for the placement opportunities. Companies such as google and nat geo have hired our alumni and some of the talented ones have been offered about 4 lakhs as starting salary!

Considering everything the college has to offer, the fee is justified. There are field trips organized every month and lecture demonstrations on indian classical performing arts, seminars, plays and other such events.

The person to top the SET and the class in the first year gets their first year fee waived off. There are other scholarships too.

The competitions are limited to the college events. There are other college fests that can be visited if you're part of the contingency. Hostel parties are amazing. Every big festival is celebrated with loud music, dancing, bonfires, good food. There was even rain dance during holi. Viman Nagar is filled with students and as media college, the SCMC crowd is the most accepting. We have international students coming in as well. All sorts of discrimination is condemned.

The girls hostel is the best. Well maintained, beautiful and perfect. The mess food is very good but can get monotonous.

The alumni have achieved so much. Some of them even came to lecture us. The college alumni page on facebook (SimCalico) keeps the alumni updated, while the SCMC page shares alumni achievements.

Very frequent. Tests for internals are held every alternate week and the other weeks, there are tons of assignment submissions.

There are certain faculty members who are fixed from the university, while most of them are invited according to subjects. We've had highly qualified professionals lecture us and inspire us to be better media representatives.
