Course Curriculum Overview
As SGGSIE&T is a Government Autonomous Institute and it is well known across Maharashtra I chose this college for pursuing my education. The senior faculties for Electronics and Communications Engineering have completed their MTech or Ph.D. from IITs and are well qualified. The term exams are strict and not easy to pass.
Placement Experience
After successfully passing the 6th Semester (i.e. the 3rd year) we are eligible for campus placements. The placements in the core domain are quite less and hence only a few companies have visited for placement drives and their intake is also very limited. At least for the Electronics department the campus placements are quite poor this year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for the Open is around 82000 per year and for OBC it is around 42000 with the state scholarship. The fees for the hostel and mess of the campus are 46000 per year. For a scholarship, you have to apply on MahaDBT.
Campus Life
The Infrastructure of the college is decent. Whereas for the Electronics department, the classes and practical labs are pretty decent with most of the labs having A/C. There are various clubs in college ex: Chitraksha, Zenith, Utsav, Phoenix, etc. for various activities. The annual fest is called Utsav and the annual sports event is called Zenith. The library has various books which are mostly available with 15 days reissue or return policy.
