What Students Say

Likes

The faculties are good here, they help us understand the topics until we get it.
The campus is good, the infrastructure of buildings, sports facilities are good.
The availability of every essential things in the campus is a very good thing.

Dislikes

The mess food is not that good and they don't give some specific dishes second time.
The accommodation in the hostel rooms are not good they are putting 4 students in 3 sharing rooms.
There are too many unnecessary restrictions in hostels.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have an interest in it field so I chose this course, the faculty ratio is 1:70. All the faculties are highly educated and have good knowledge. They are ready to solve any doubts. There are CTs instead of mid sem which is conducted 3 times and then the semester exam. The level of the exam is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

Right now i don't have that much idea about internships as I have recently been admitted to srm but our FA told us that after 3rd years we will be having our internship programs and the college will be the one helping us get internships.

Placement Experience

After the sixth semester students become eligible for placements. The placement is not that good. Some companies that come here are tcs, wipro, etc. The average package for cse is 6lpa and the highest goes around 45lpa. Almost every student gets placed in the CSE department. I will join a company after getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is high and you need to be from a good family to study here. There are scholarships for the top-ranking students in the entrance exam but very few students are given scholarships. They also charge money before semester exams and for other reasons

Campus Life

The life on the campus is quite good. There are two fests Aarush and Milan. Srm has a good library with a vast collection of books for students the rooms are nicely lit and have comfortable furniture to study. There are lots of clubs in srm and the biggest one is Aarush.

Admission

You need to have a minimum of 65% in PCM in the 12th board exam to apply for admission to SRM. The name of the entrance exam is SRMJEE, the application form can be filled out from the university's official site. The fee for the form is 1200 rupees.

Time and Future

Placement Experience:

Placements starts from the 7th semester.companies Like tcs,wipro,zoho,infosys vist. The highest packages is 24lap,average 3lpa and around 85%of student get placed. I plan to start my career in IT and gain experience.

Life At KCT

Placement Experience:

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

Our placements are as good as any college or university in India. Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Deloitte, and any company which is into software comes at our campus for placements. Average stands at 8 lakhs but students of our campus has grabbed packages of 50 LPA as well.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

The truth of RMD ENGINEERING COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Chose SRM University mainly because of its strong reputation in engineering, excellent infray,and placement opportunities.I has applied to a few other private universities like VIT Vellore and Manipal University.while I did get a confirmed admission from one,i felt SRM had a more vibrant campus life,better connectivity to Chennai City, and a strong alumni network. The Student Life at SRM IST

I am a dropper, I got 75k something rank but that year cutoff for the colleges in Delhi skyrocketed for general category like nothing before. So I didn't get any college in Delhi, took a drop and applied then here at this college and Amity University Noida. I cleared both bht I preferred this college over Amity University because of many reasons - fees, cultural activities, student crowd, placement.
