Person with expectations, College full of regrets

The study is average in this college. At first before coming to the college the i was really excited to learn about the hot topics that are trending now a days, i must say that i had a lot of expectations from the college but sooner or later I understood that the college does not have the curriculum that supports my excitement so I think course that i choose for does not meet my excitement.

I used to pay 300000 for one year and i am pursuing a B. Tech degree so for four years the total fee cost would be 12L just for the college and if you choose the hostels as well it would cost you roughly around 20L

The overall experience was not to my expectations as the college does not support anything else over the studies. There is no coding atmosphere in the college the only good thing is that the college supports Cricket in sports area which is good i think but talking about overall experience that was not good at all

The hostel facilities are same as we can get from other colleges but the fee for the hostel is much more than that of the hostel facilities. 150000 for an triple seater AC room with a room which is smaller for 2 persons to live in.

I choose this college because it had a great placement record than any other tier 3 college in the NCR region. So the main motive to join the college was just for the placements after all we all join the college mainly for the placements. But now a days the placements are worst not only in this college but all over the other colleges as well but it still delivers better than others

Faculty is quite of a decent, some have a great knowledge about the course they are teaching and mostly just come and read the PPTs on the Screens. I must say that the some facilities are supportive and would really help you out with everything.

There is no nightlife in SRM, even if you stay in hostel, you are not allowed to roam around in the ground which is just 50 steps away from the hostel gate and talking about the gym we had just one gym around the college and just one cafeteria which is also not a good thing that the locality around my college is not so good
