Likes

No ragging , seniors won't interfere with the juniors and vice versa.
Better infrastructure as NIT AP is totally new campus.
Proper maintenance,Rooms are cleaned daily.

Dislikes

High Temperature, as it is near to sea you may experience hot conditions.
No big cities near NIT AP , you can't get all things you require.
Since it is New NIT , alumini network is small.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the ECE course because I am passionate about VLSI technology. The student-faculty ratio is very good. The faculties here are highly qualified and they have huge experience in their domain. They encourage self-learning. There will be at least one exam a month. The exam difficulty ranges from moderate to difficult. The grading system is a relative grading system.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Top companies like Google, TCS, and Wipro visit our college and provide internships in the 6th semester. We can also get assistance from professors and internships in government organizations like DRDO, CSIR, IISER, etc.

Placement Experience

From 6th semister students become eligible for placements, until then you can apply off campus. Around 200+ companies visited and around 85 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 44 lpa and average is about 8 lpa and the lowest is 6.1 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The academic section decides the fee structure for the entire 4 years, thereafter is no hike in fees. If family income is less than 1lpa then students get a 100 percent tuition fee waiver. If it is between 1lpa to 5lpa then you are eligible for a 66 percent fee waiver.

Campus Life

We conduct two annual fests. Vulcans (tech fest) in odd sem and cultural fest in even sem. Both events are greatly celebrated, we get sponsored by sbi, coding ninjas, unstop, etc. Classrooms are digitalized with a smart board and projector. Students who are interested in sports and games can participate in internet games. There are a lot of clubs like Elantra, Shreya, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are provided with a cot, almirah, fan two sockets, and a bed light. The quality of food is above average and better than other nits and the taste of food is acceptable. We can simultaneously register for a hostel while taking admission to college.

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

We should the central entrance test JEE MAINS for the admission process. We can find the all admission process rules in the official JOSAA COUNSELING. Reservations are provided for Obc, ST, SC, EWS, and PWD students. 50 percent of seats are reserved for home-state people.

Review of My college

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible to sit in the campus placement. There are a lot of companies that visit my college including Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Quaxy and many more. Number of offers made are above 500. Highest package in 2024 was 40 lpa and average package was 5 lpa. Almost 90 percent of the students were placed. I'll go with placement after my degree.

Placement Experience:

From the third semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placements based on thier performance and cgpa or else they must be placed after four semesters in b. Tech. Many companies like Tesla, Amazon, Google, Infosys, Wipro, .. visit the college annually. Average package is of 8lakh per annum and the highest package is 60lpa. 80 percent of the students get placed at the end of the semester. My plans after the degree is to get a good job offering me a minimum 40lpa and after the will establish my own company in the market.

College life at NIT-AP

I liked this college because studying at a national institute is every student's dream. It is not that much easy. Particularly, we can't compare these national institutes with other colleges as they are highly prestigious. The main reason why I have chosen this college, we (Andhra) people have 50% reserved seats in the college. Eligibility is students should have to clear their jee mains exam with the best percentile to secure their dream branch. The cut-off will be changed every year. It is around the 93 percentile to achieve a branch in the college for an Oc student. Overall admission process is very smooth and not that complex....Read More
