The college environment is quite productive, the club facilities is good

I have a very keen interest in chemistry from my school days. So I appeared for the JEE main exam. Unfortunately, I didn't score enough in JEE Advance, so I decided to go with SVNIT as its MSc Chemistry dept records are quite good. The teacher-student ratio is 1:15. All the Professors are well-qualified.

For MSc students, the placement starts from the 9th semester and is carried out throughout the 5th year. Most of the students go for higher studies and do PhD in their respective fields. Other students are quite interested in teaching and they are placed in Allen, Physics Wallah, and byjus. Non-core students are placed in ICICI Bank, TCS, etc. The rest of the students go for pharma companies. In the year 2022, the placement percentage was 92% and the average package was 6.5 lakhs. I am planning to do a Ph.D. after completing my course.

Initially, the fees for M.Sc. students were around 10000 per semester, but over the past 4,5 years, the fees increased to 34750 per semester. And most importantly we MSc students are not given fee remission which is quite discrimination. Still, Students whose family income is less than 5 lakh or 2.5 lakh, are eligible for many scholarships.

After the arrival of the first year, the fresher’s party is usually conducted after 2 months. The annual fest ' Sparsh' is usually done in the month of March -April for 4 days. The tech fest Mindbend, so-called ' Gujarat's biggest tech fest' done in the month of February- March. The library is actually quite nice air-conditioned and has a quite number of books. There are lots of clubs where you can take part. Like Convex, Acm, Scosh, kirdaar, malang, chemshastra etc. But the most annoying thing is the time when you are not allowed to go outside of the campus which is 7.30 for the first 6 months and then 10.30.

Now for 2nd year, we are alloted in the new EWS Bhavan which is one of the best hostels in this College. It has spacious rooms and the bathrooms are well-functioned. Still, the lan & WiFi facilities are up to the mark. The management system of the College is average

The admission process is as same as for other NITs. You appear in the JEE Main exam, score a decent percentile and according to your marks and preference you get a College. All the dates, and application forms you will find in the National Testing Agency's official website.
