Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum at VIT Bhopal aligns well with industry standards, providing a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. I chose this university due to its relevance to my academic growth and my future career plans. The faculty members are all doctorates and are quite experienced and knowledgeable. There is FFCS, a fully flexible credit system that allows students to choose the course they want, the timing slots they prefer, and the faculties they wish to study at. All in all, quite an immersive experience. The faculty-to-student ratio is very healthy, with an average of 5 teachers per subject. The teaching methods are diverse, including lectures, practical sessions, and interactive discussions. This approach caters to different learning styles and enhances overall comprehension. the commitment of teachers to student success is evident in their accessibility and willingness to clear doubts. The term exams were conducted in a timely manner, allowing for adequate preparation.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There is a session called Summer Industrial Internship and Semester Internship. During this time, we see many emails from the placement office regarding career opportunities, masterclasses, and internship programs. Examples include Barclays, TCS, Amazon, Marvelell, and Notion Labs. Internship stipends can range from non-paid to all the way to 1 lac. These projects can range from full stack developer and Java developer to software engineering roles, and data science intern roles.

Placement Experience

4

Campus placements start from the third-year second semester onwards. The placement is divided into super dream company (15lcs+), dream company 8lcs+ and normal. Companies range from Microsoft to Accenture, TCS, IBM, and JIO to even a few consulting firms, depending upon your branch or specialization. The highest offered was around 43 lacs from our campus; however, it was an off-campus placement and the average was 6–8 lacs. Of the total placement seekers, approximately 90–95% are placed at our college. Some pursue their higher academic dreams. My plans are simple. To get placed to work in the organization and then upskill me.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a fee hike that depends on the number of students applying across all its campuses. I had a rank of 40k in VITEEE 2021 and had come under division 3, which is in the range of 30000–60000 rank. Similar to this, every year there is a division that is brought out This division, depending on ranking, will allow you to choose the branch you want and the campus you want. VIT has four branches: Bhopal, Amravati, Chennai and Vellore. Further, there are categories of fees for a variety of branches. Cat 1 is up to 2 lacs per annum, Cat 2 is up to 3.5 lacs per annum, Cat 4 is up to 4.25 lacs per annum, and Cat 5 is 5 lacs per annum. Depending upon your rank, you could choose a branch and further depending upon your rank, you would get a particular category of fees only.

Campus Life

5

There are multiple festivals that are organized by the cultural and linguistic clubs at the college. The most prominent ones include Advitya, which occurs generally during February and March. Major cultural events start in July. The major tech events are organized almost all year around. Our library is furnished with top-class books of all genres. All books related to academics ranging from mathematics, physics, and chemistry to electronics, computers, and even economics and business management are available. There are also multitudinal sporting events, from cricket to badminton to basketball. Classrooms at Vit Bhopal are well-equipped with modern amenities that facilitate holistic development. It includes audio-visual aids, comfortable seating arrangements, rooms to facilitate self-learning, and a proper environment for theory and practical sessions.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The facilities involve bedding, a closet, fans, and even an ac if you choose the ac bedroom. Meals are decent enough, and there is a clear distinction between AC and non-AC mess. Both of them are on different floors. The menu involves healthy items, which are what a general Indian household diet looks like The registration process for the hostel starts after you get an admission. You are intimidated via mail on your official mail account. There is a mock and a real registration round, which depends on your CGPA attendance after the first semester. In the first sem, it is usually dependent upon the criteria they enlist. The hosted rooms are divided into 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 bedded rooms for boys with a choice of an AC bedded and 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 for girls with a mandate of an AC bedded. As far as affordability is concerned, prices can often pinch. If that's the case, you can opt for being a day scholar available in the locality around the college within 2 km Many such to-let rooms are available

Admission

The admissions process at Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal, was quite straightforward. I applied through the online portal, which is quite user-friendly. the application process involved filling out the personal details, providing educational verifications, and uploading the relevant documents, including the 12th and 10th mark sheet, aaadhar card information, school leaving certificate, and transfer certificate. I took the entrance exam called VITEEE, and the application included providing exam-related details. The cutoff was competitive, reflecting the high standards of the university. The application dates and the fees for the examination were mentioned in bold on the official website, thus providing a smooth experience. The eligibility criteria were clearly outlined, ensuring complete transparency. The necessary information, including the application form, was available on the official website. No, there are no reservation benefits outright, as it is a private univ.

At LNCT students become eligible for engineering placements in the final year. Like after 3rd year, meaningful intenrships are provided and most students get PPO through that. For those fail to do so, our college invites a lot of companies which gives us core placements.

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.
