VIT Bhopal University in a nutshell

We have midterms and finals every semester. They're always on time with midterms held in between and finals around the end of the semester. The semester's length could be 4 or 6 months. They save 2 months from a few and add an extra Interim Semester in between a few official semesters for credit completion.

They provide some foundation and global courses like data science, AWS, etc. by collaborating with different platforms whom train you and then provide an internship. Also, the placement office sends internship details from various companies like Amazon, PayPal, JP Morgan, etc.

The placements are fine a lot of companies come up. There's this program Immersion run by the placement office to train kids about placements. No one should take this whole thing too seriously though that could be harsh for mental health since this college has a TOO MUCH crowd meaning that much competition.

Scholarships are available but these need to be talked about officially. The fee structure depends on the rank you score. They divide you into 4 categories with the fees being the least (2.5 lac) for category 1 and can go up to 5 lac for the 4th category.

The campus is 200 acres but girls aren't allowed to go further than the girls' hostel (because the boys' hostel is there). The curfew for girls is 6 pm and by 9 pm no entry to the garden is allowed. The guys can stay out for a while longer. If you have classes till 7:30 pm then of course you're allowed to come in late. There are various clubs and societies with some being really active. There's no scope for sports though.

So in the case of the girls' hostel, the old hostel costs less and the new one costs more and you can't choose which hostel to go for its given randomly. There are some AC rooms available which are given as per your score and GPA in the last semester. The AC only works at night. There are pages. available nearby in Aastha.

I gave the entrance exam of VITEEE and was selected for counseling and hence got into the college. The exam details can be found online or on the official website which usually helps around the same time as JEE Mains.
