Remarks
The college overall is pretty decent. However there was recently certain issues in college which caused the teachers to go on a strike but this was the only time such a thing has happened. Over-all the college has a pretty good track record and can be a good learning house for people seeking computer science.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure mainly focuses on the core topics of the named subjects with minimalistic learning opportunities for other less important topics. Certain topics are given a higher priority as compared to other topics which are given very low concern.
Internships Opportunities
I am still in the first year and I haven't yet been approached by any external or internal body regarding internship of any sort.
Placement Experience
There are placement and job opportunities for students who are approaching the end of their third and fourth year. There are various external bodies coming to the college regarding job placement however most of these require students of high merit score and a good track record. Also the highest package offered last year was around 14 lakhs rupees.
College Events
There are various events that are organised by the college staff as well as the college student council throughout each semester. The most famous of them is nakshatra which is the colleges main fest held before every even semester. There are a lot of technical as well as charity events organised in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college hosts students of various cultural and varying financial backgrounds hence the fees structure is feasible or expensive varies from person to person. However the fees is around rupees 1.1 lakh per academic year and since most of students come from a middle class family the fees structure can said to be very expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers various scholarships and loan to students belonging to a poor background and also to students who are belonging to various minorities or ethnic groups.
Campus Life
Campus life would be boring for students if they were introverted or had less friends as the college doesn't have a very widespread campus. The gender ratio would easily by 10 to 1 in the favour of boys. There are various Egaming as well as spors events held for students in the college. The college staff and students are equal towards each and everyone one and there is no discrimination of any sort. There is also a gym and recreational areas such as table tennis room, carrom table, etc for students overall it's pretty decent.
Hostel Facilities
The college doesn't provide hostel living for students however there are a lot of places in the city of Kharghar which are offering the facility of staying as a paying guest raging from around 5-15 thousand per month. Mostly students coming for pg generally share the staying expenses by staying with other college mates or finding room mates.
Alumni/Alumna
The college doesn't seem to have a very strong alumni network however there are certain seniors who are very polite and eager to help the juniors
Exam Structure
There are 2 internal exams before each semester containing mostly all the topics covered before each internal examination. The exams are fairly easy but might vary person to person. There are 8 semesters in total spanning for the entire course of 4 years.
Admission
After the process of online admission having freezed this college, I visited the one of the confirmation institutes to get my college confirmed, then we visited the college on the due admission date and discussed the fees and everything and payed accordingly.
Faculty
Certain faculties of the college, at least for me being a student of the first year, really try to go out of their way to help the student learn. It is a very nurturing environment. Most of the teachers are very helpful and well spoken however there are faculties who are less experienced in the field of teaching which may create a very hectic environment as the end terms approach and students realize that they haven't learned much of anything. Overall the faculty is good enough.
