Course Curriculum Overview
The Lab facilities in VIT are tour de force in many aspects , the faculties are also very experienced and almost all have doctorates in their respective fields. The exam system in VIT is as follows: there are 3 exams conducted per semester , one of them is the end-sem exam for 100 marks which is known as FAT , the other two are sort of mid term exams of 50 marks which are known as CAT-1 and CAT-2. Apart from that there are Digital Assignments for each subjects and quizzes also.
Internships Opportunities
In terms of internships and projects , many small companies and Unicorns hire students from VIT. This process begins from the second year of students and it helps students to gain experience and knowledge in their respective field.
Placement Experience
The average placement package in VIT is 9.23 lpa. Many MNC's and conglomerates come to the placement session in VIT , companies like TCS , Infosys and Deloitte offer mass recruitment packages for those who couldn't secure the super dream or dream placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is normal if seen through the perspective that VIT is a completely private enterprise. However , the fees is lower as compared to BITS. The overall fees for one semester is in tandem with many such private colleges pan India.
Campus Life
There are two annual fests that are condicted in VIT. The technical fest is known as "Gravitas" and is conducted in the fall of every year , the Cultural and Sports fest is known as "Riviera" and is conducted in the winter of every year , pretty much around February. The amenities in the classroom are also the latest when compared to top colleges of India.
Hostel Facilities
There are a total of 10-12 hostel blocks for men and 6-7 blocks for women , each block has been given a name of various famous personalities and each block has also been assigned an alphabet. The registration process for the hotels is also conducted via the freshers portal , completely online. The food quality of the mess is above average and the dining area is also maintained in terms of hygiene
Admission
The admission process for my admission in VIT Vellore was very precise and simple. The Dept. of UG Admissions of VIT Vellore had opened a portal known as Freshers' Portal in which we could access all of our details , including the orientation details and the various formalities and fee payment portals. Overall , it was fairly easy.
