There was no entrance examination required to qualify for admission or to satisfy eligibility criteria. I opted for this college because it has an excellent rating and grade awarded by NAAC, i.e 3.79/4 CGPA - one of the highest-rated colleges in India.

The coursework is detailed and will strengthen your fundamentals and help you with further tests and exams. Along with academics, overall development is given great importance. The curriculum is based on the choice-based credit system (CBCS). The students are continuously assessed and undergo cumulative evaluation.

Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible for aided courses and quite feasible for unaided courses. For the biotech B.Sc course, I paid around 57,000 per annum. For aided courses like CBZ (Chemistry, Botany, zoology) the fee is around 35,000 per annum. This includes exam fees as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a lot of scholarships offered by the college for various kinds of students. Financial aid will be given to students who are not economically well-off.
Campus Life
The college is very inclusive and open to all cultures and religions. There are a number of student-organized groups, forums, and clubs where activities are conducted and events are organized. We also have a compulsory outreach program where each student is supposed to part take in community service. There's a research forum, NSS, NCC, Wildlife awareness club and a support group system, and many others.
Hostel Facilities
There is a boys' hostel located on the campus and a girls' hostel located quite a far way from the campus. There are two canteens on campus that provide, tasty, healthy, hygienic food at affordable prices. There are also good, decent restaurants nearby for dining.
Alumni/Alumna
There is an excellent rapport between seniors and juniors and they come together to organize events and activities. Seniors are very helpful and guide juniors.
Exam Structure
The final exams account for 70% of the final grade. The other 30% is based on internal assessments. Labs and theory subjects have different papers and different exams. Lab exams also include internal assessments. The date and time of examinations will be announced well before they start, leaving you with plenty of time to prepare.
Admission
I applied through the online portal at sjc.ac.in after I got my 12th-grade results. This can be done by filling out an online application on the website which will be made available around mid-February/early-march, every year. Academic details and bio-data are to be uploaded and based on the marks you have scored on your 12th/2nd PUC exam, you will be called for an interview along with your parent. There is an option for walk-in-interview if you have scored really good marks. The interview will be informal, and non-academic. The final decision-making and confirmation of your seat are made by the principal.
Faculty
The faculty is highly qualified and knowledgeable. Also, they are approachable, friendly, and patient. They encourage inquisitiveness and answer questions. They encourage discussions and help with the learning. They are fair and non-biased. They can be approached for basic guidance and counseling also. Every class is assigned to a class mentor.
