Likes

Nature and campus of IIT Guwahati and it's weather
Infrastructure is of top class as compared to all the iits
It's greenery is also very NYC and faculty members behaviour is quite good

Dislikes

In rainy season rains account daily that I don't like
Some PhD scholar behaviour is not good as much but they are good
Some times some animals come inside campus like leapords

Course Curriculum Overview

This course has a wide range of jobs in the future that's why I opted for this. 16:1 is ratio. All faculty members are highly educated and have great knowledge. In each sem, we have 2 main exams as mid mid-semester and end sem, and quizzes also.

Class Size: 97Course Fees: INR 284000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Bajaj nasa Amazon isro Samsung Vivo Flipkart messo and many more companies came for internships. The main project is to learn coding and social marketing is the main project that is needed for the internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

from the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement. amazon NASA isro Google and many more company visits and 1127 offers made last year. 97 percent of students get placed. my plan is to get a good placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of the study is very low because the government provides funds for students who study in iit so it is good for all students to study easily. till now I haven't applied for any scholarship so I have no knowledge about this.

Campus Life

the annual fest is alcheringa held in February and the tech fest is Techniche held in August. there are all types of books available in our library. The classroom contains proper ac digital boards. Our college provides all types of sports. 5. social service club.

Admission

Must get a good rank in Jee advance and have secured more than 75 percent in 12th standard then u get admission easily. Jossa Counseling official website. not availed. no improvement needed till now. Everything looks good.

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

From the seventh semester, one is eligible for Placements. This year(2024-25) 68 percent placement is done for B.Tech. Those who don't get placements either go for higher studies, UPSC, GATE, and some get job by referral from College Alumni.

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement student are eligible from 7th sem and for internship whole 3rd year 5th to 6th sem. Highest package till now is 34 lpa i guess in intuit .and lowest 6lpa.I am totally focus into doing job rsther than doing higher studies .Iam placed at Deloitte and i am happy.till now 50 percent students of civil got plsced 80 percent Cse

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
