Course Curriculum Overview

I chose my course as EEE. Since I have got many suggestions from seniors. The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1: 9.5. Each and every faculty is highly qualified. They all had higher Education and of PhD at least. The exams are pretty reasonable if we are able to attend and understand the lectures it is enough to score well.

Here's a response for someone inquiring about college placements or employability after completing a course when there are no campus placements Our college has a strong track record when it comes to placements. Many students secure excellent job opportunities through campus placements. The placement process is facilitated by our dedicated placement cell, which collaborates with various companies to bring in opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are a bit high but they must charge at least that much to run such a large University with highly qualified teachers and great lab equipment. I am not eligible for any scholarships but I have applied for an education loan.

Campus Life

The annual fest we have is called alcheringa. It occurs in the February month. The tech fest is techniche. It is held In the month of September. The Library is pretty big and has almost every book that we need. The classroom is pretty good. They are ac's in almost all the class rooms. We have good grounds so we can play all sports any time for free including swimming. There are many social clubs for students like saathi club which takes responsibility for mental well-being of students.

Admission

I was qualified in jee advance 2023 I got a rank of 5195 open but I had obc. My OBC rank was 1003. I applied via the Josaa website. The website was very good. We were notified about all the updates in counseling via mail.

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

From the seventh semester, one is eligible for Placements. This year(2024-25) 68 percent placement is done for B.Tech. Those who don't get placements either go for higher studies, UPSC, GATE, and some get job by referral from College Alumni.

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement student are eligible from 7th sem and for internship whole 3rd year 5th to 6th sem. Highest package till now is 34 lpa i guess in intuit .and lowest 6lpa.I am totally focus into doing job rsther than doing higher studies .Iam placed at Deloitte and i am happy.till now 50 percent students of civil got plsced 80 percent Cse

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
