JGU- at a glance

the strongest factor of JGU is its faculty. the diversity that this college provides is also good. its infrastructure is easily adaptable. one thing that it lacks is arts(painting/crafting), however, I think after coming up of its architecture college, that will be eradicated too.

being from non-medial background, I gave IIT JEE. however, for admission, I was required to give JSAT or UGAT.

course structure for IBM is quite extensive. It provides with every subjective and practical knowledge which can be applied in the business field. normal course structure also includes a foreign language. overall it is good. all the subjects are given certain credits and accordingly, the structure is designed. in the first year, we had 8 subjects

yes, Jindal has a Career Development and Placement Division cell. this department provides you and assists you in applying for internships.

the placement is quite decent. placement cell helps in bringing all major recruiters. Few Companies that visit the campus for recruitment are reliance capital,Genpact, Future general, Yes Bank, Vijaya Bank. The students say that the placement graph is good and a growing one.

various cultural and sports event takes place every year. Biswamil and Magnus are two annual cultural and sports fest respectively. campus life is not mundane at all as other small events are quite regular. bollywood nights, dandiya night, lit fests, variuos talk events takes place in the campus. freshers, farewells and alumni meets also takes place.

the fee structure is moderate according to the facilities that are being provided. however, it gets covered as most of the students are on scholarship or studentship basis. the fee structure is different for different courses and accordingly, scholarships vary.

the college provides scholarship on the basis of your board grades. it continues on the basis of your perforance in college. also, scholarships are provided under haryana domicility too

campus life in JGU is very happening. it has many socities which you can be a part of, like debate society, rotaract club,animal welfare, social service etc. the library at JGU is quite good in case you are a bookwarm. JGU observes a wide range of culture and diversity. people from almost all over the globe are part of JGU family. it is a ragging free campus. everyone is considered equal irrespective of their backgrounds.

hostel rooms are on 3- sharing basis for undergrads. it is completely wi-fi enabled. it hs common room and reading room facilities too, in case you don't want to go to the academic block. Pantries are mad n each floor providing convenience to the hostlers. mess food is quite decent.

seniors and alumni network is quite strong. they are very helpful and guide you accordingly. seniors that I have interacted with are friendly and always ready to assist.

exams are held at the end of each semester. they are quite regular and depends on number of subjects that you have in your course structure. it is quite hectic. regular assessments in form of quizes, tests and midterms takes place. results are timely calculated and informed.

I visited the college's admission department in person wherein I met Mr. Vikram Singh Tomar. he guided me through the available options and explained the proper procedure to apply. the process was quite easy. I applied through online mode. I then gave the JSAT exam which is conducted on a daily basis online. I cleared the exam and was granted admission.

OPJGU is known for its best faculty. professors over here are very experienced. one can learn a lot from them if one wishes to. they are really helpful and are approachable. they don't hesitate to take doubts. The Institute has exceptionally qualified and committed faculty and is bolstered by recognized going to and visitor workforce from the corporate world. many guest faculties from the corporate world also visit the campus for lectures.
