Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing MSW from KJC and the class strength will be around 40-60 all the faculty members are very highly qualified and experienced in their specific areas, They use modern methods such as PPT and videos for taking classes, and Exams are conducted on time and results will be also published as soon as possible the mark we gain will depend upon the effort we put in.

Class Size: 38Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Each semester internships are provided to the students first and Second semesters the internship will be given to the NGO and kn the next two semesters based on the specialization we choose.

Placement Experience

The campus placements are available at the college and from the third semester students can attend the campus placement Different companies with very good packages are approaching the college every year and the number of placement opportunities is also growing.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure comes to around 80k per year and exam fees will be separate for every semester which will come to around 3k but the amount we pay is matchable with the services and amenities the college provides to the students.

The college has Ethnic Day, pg fest, Arts Fest, etc there are ample opportunities available for students to showcase their talents. Expert lectures and conferences are more actual. There are three libraries and plenty of books are available there. The college has a very good infrastructure in all the arenas.

Admission

The eligibility criteria for the course was each student should have a 50% aggregate mark in all the exams they have attended Eg: 10th, 12th, and Graduation level exams. The application can be done through the official website of the college and all the details are provided very clearly on the website. The admission process is very transparent and clear.

iam sure this is only the couse that we can work with communities and social worker serve the people with humbleness. it learns to how to mingle with society, how to face the society and how to take challenges in positive way. improvement areas are field works, some students are not attend field work properly faculty has check with organization heads or HOD. Everything is good if students learn for exam. no difficulties in any exams.

The curriculum will help me good but the thing is iam doing in masters in social work dept it means theory should 50percent then practice knowledge should be 50percent but the thing is heare we sare not getting any field workonly for5days Camp in the 1styear rather than that we didn't getting any field work from the department.Actually I took these course is I need practice based paper so I need to involve with the people with involvement I can learn from them what are the problems are facing by them actually I need I really like to study about people's problems but here we are not getting any field exposure to learn.My suggestion is for department they should conduct a field work in week atleast 2days should be their for field work pratice department should take the students.They should follow strictly on the syllabus becouse as per syllabus department should provide us field work in some places mentioned in the syllabus.ThenI asked to teacher then he replied to me you know kannada

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some papers need to be updated and should include topic related to current issues and more discussions are need to be conducted in the classroom that improves the critical thinking of the students. For Social Work course field exposure is very relevant and important to increase the knowledge of the trainee. But the department is not providing any field exposure to the trainees according to their specializations. The only field experience students are getting from the one month block placement/ internship, but that is not enough for the students.

Placement Experience:

From the third semester, the students become eligible for campus selection and students are given support from the faculty members to join certain NGOs to work with. This makes the students develop their skills and learn new things by working with them. Students often end up working with these NGOs after finding the experience with them as productive. But Christ doesn't have many placements for the MSW course.

The university atmosphere is very nice and tge The university atmosphere is very nice and the and the Structure of the university is really awesome. The March and April time weather is not that much good, very hot around a 45° celsius hot. The administrative section Is not properly working.

I didn't actually choose this college. My plan was to go to a government college. But I just applied here and wished to get selected and I did. The admission process is fully online, from interview to paying fees. The eligibility is getting a percentage above 60 and no exams are required. You just need to attend the interview on the date asked by the college and they will ask you few questions, and after few days you will get selected based on the interview.
