Remarks

The best college, best decision to join Pearl. Can't thank enough my parents for being able to afford me to send to pearl. My experience here has been so amazing, so fruitful that I don't have right words to describe that. Also however much I say would be really less.

Entrance Preview

Pearl conducts it's own entrance exam followed by personal interview. I opted for this college because it was providing me with the course I wanted.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum of the college is quite interesting. The way each semester is divided into modules and the way each of them is further taken. The way inputs are given. Everything is perfect I'd say. Though we don't have any books like other courses have yes we can refer anytime but still we never feel that ways and it's just great.

Internships Opportunities

internship is something mostly students prefer to look by themselves in case someone wants from college we get full support from college, from faculty. The highest stipend which my senior got last year was 70k. So yeah stipend is something which depends on firm to firm.

Placement Experience

5

Placements and job opportunities are really amazing. Placement every year goes 95% + I remember last year the placement going to 99%. Some of the companies who come for placements includes Accenture, capgemini, Walt Disney, future group, Pankaj and Nidhi, etc.

College Events

5

some of the many events celebrated in our college include: Orientation- for new students Induction day- day for new students where they go to their respective campus and are introduced to their faculties, societies, etc. Design bazaar- which is diwali fest. Lohri function Dandia night Halloween Holi Pearl utsav - annual fest of campus And many more

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of the college is way too expensive. A heavyweight in a pocket. Also given college isn't recognized by certain bodies it was impossible to get an educational loan but now it has tied up with few bank solving that problem too. The fees is almost Rs.5lac per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

College does provide scholarships and has its own criteria for the same. Earlier loan facility wasn't available but recently it has been made available. Now we can take loan from 2 renowned banks.

Campus Life

5

Campus life for me has been an amazing one. Something I am going to miss a lot once I pass out. Gender ratio is somewhere around 1 boy to 7-10 girls. We do have a lot of extracurricular activities in form of societies, competition held by these societies, competitions in different colleges, etc. Labs are always upto date with latest software's, upto date machines, furniture and everything needed.

Hostel Facilities

5

Rating hostel facilities, mess food, hostel, pg, or anything similar to that doesn't apply in my case. I don't live in any of them hence not applicable and further which means I can't say anything on this matter. Ps- wasn't allowing me to leave it blank due to which had to write all this.

Alumni/Alumna

So the thing is nothing here is like junior senior in major cases. Seniors are super friendly and always there to help or guide you whenever needed. You can connect with them at any point of time. Have a word with them regarding any project they help, want to know some good places for interning they help might give their reference also if the case applies.

Exam Structure

We don't have written exams but instead, we have is juries. We have is formative assessment and summative assessment. Formative happens when a half module is done. Like if a module is for 4 weeks then formative happens after 2 weeks and summative happens at the end of the module. Later on, we have is a jury at the end of the semester also. And at times (especially when you are in or after 2nd year) jury happens after semester end only. The jury is taken by all the faculty members of our course, external juries at times, and at times open jury also.

Admission

Step 1. Filled up online form which was really easy to fill Step 2. Downloaded and printed admit card which was notified by email Step 3. Reached campus for exam and registration desk was set who helped us by telling which room to go to. Step 4. Was guided to the specific room Step 5. Appeared for exam. Step 6. Gave my interview Step 7. I was selected

Faculty

5

Best faculties. Helpful, qualified, experienced, friendly, and everything you look forward to your faculty. At times it seems like they are more of our friends. From day 1 we are taught how to be professionals in our field. Our faculties have knowledge from best of the design institutes like NIFT, NID, Pearl, Royal College of Arts, etc and have worked with some of the companies who are no less than a dream to work for many.

I actually have a very keen interest in political science since my school years, that's why opted for this course. I don't think there are any improvements needed in teaching methods. The timing of exams according to the difficulty is appropriate in my opinion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college offers a good mix of theory and real-life application, making it a good choice for anyone genuinely curious about how the human mind works. It also balances academics with hands-on experiences—students don’t just read about psychology in theory, they actually get to practice it through labs, experiments, internships, and field visits. Regular workshops, seminars, and presentations keep the learning process interactive and help build communication and analytical skills that are useful both inside and outside the classroom. Recently a resilience workshop was held by an alumni of MSCW, where we got deeper insights about how resilience can be built, how coping works and how some coping techniques can be bad for u.

Placement Experience:

My course does not allow direct placements right after graduation since a lot of students tend to pursue higher education, but the college does have a placement cell that brings in different opportunities like internships and placements. The average package is probably about 2.5 LPA with companies like Bajaj allianz but since it is an off campus college, this isn't bad either

Dyal Singh Placements aren't that hefty that I can boast a lot about them. Since I have already mentioned in previous section that I want the deepest knowledge of political science and the only way, one can gain that is by doing masters. Coming to DSC placements over 30% students of Political Science from our college are placed via campus.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.
