life at DY Patil

This college holds a very special place in my heart for the friend sit gave, for the amazing faculties. what i am today is because of this. and i am very grateful to this institution.

For getting into D.Y.Patil, the boards percentage matter. Minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects. English as a subject is compulsory. also i was a student from B group and was also keen on doing something other than medicine or Pharmacy. hence biotech

our course duration is for 5 years and we have vast and elaborated syllabus having microbiology, cell theory, genetic engineering and even applied Physics! our college has always been promoting practical learning. we have labs quite often . we also have elective subjects since our third year.

the college does not provide internships. but supports us for same. our college permits internships for one-two months. generally the internships are paid sometimes it is unpaid depending on the firm. i'd suggest everyone should intern so as to gain more knowledge.

The placements are relatively better than many institutes. Around 65-70 percent of the students get placed overall. In my branch over 50% students get placed rest aim for higher studies like GRE etc. All the top notch companies came to pick students. Varied companies came for placements and took the students with a good payscale.

D Y Patil is a premier institute and because it is private the fees might be unaffordable to some, but educational loans are available and it is worth investing in this institution as good placements records have been witnessed. the fees is 185k for first year and 175k for the consecutive years.

our faculties are highly experienced and guide us for our upcoming professional life. they are very interactive in classrooms and labs. infact, even are lab guides and assistants are highly supportive and helpful.
