Review about DYPSOA

The area around college is still developing and students need to travel around to find good hangout spots. They infrastructure is quite dull. They faculty are experienced but lack practicality.

The curriculum is a bit outdated according to me. New technology in building construction are not taught and practical knowledge is not gained. Internship gives a platform to understand about the field in depth but the duration is just 6 months which is not enough. There is no campus placement for the course. Site visits and industrial visits are organised.

Sunburn Festivals with DJ, Cultural Festival, tech fest are organised on a grand scale. Since there are many course along with architecture in the campus there are seperate festivals held by each fields. Cricket tournaments are held on a large scale.

Fees for architecture range from 1 lakh - 1.5 lakh per annum.One year fees has to be paid for admission.They accept DD or online transfer.Other fees for NASA association and insurance has to be paid seperate. Yes they provide transperancy in fee breakdown.

No. There is no scholarship by the college. But fee reduction is there on basis of caste. Other than that there is no scholarship provided.

Female ratio is more compared to male. The campus life is great with some hangout spots. The students diversity is vast with students from all parts of the country and even exchange students. Politics is not strong in the college. The economic status of most of the students are very good and come from wealthy family. Sexual orientation of all are there in the college.

No. I have not opted for hostel. There are single rooms as well as sharing rooms available. Standard and ac rooms available with very good facilities. Mess is provided for students. They seats are limited for each category of rooms. Average rental is 1 Lakh Rs per year.

There is very strong alumni network present. They are very helpful and makes life easy during college.

I chose this course because I am passionate about architecture.I got my admission through MASA which is Maharashtra Association dealing with the architecture admission.They take in account of the 10&12 marks as well as NATA score. I chose the college becuase it was at a convenient location made my travel from my relatives house since I am from Kerala.There are also management seats available in the college.

40+ faculty includes Professor, Associate Professor, And few visiting faculty. Our college faculty has very good experience, some of them have 35+ years experience at different fields of architecture. Some of the faculty are persuing PHD. The admin faculty is very kind. Guest lecture are held by experienced architects at times.
