Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I have an interest in this subject. In our department, there is always a shortage of teachers. The faculty-student ratio is 2:15. the faculty members are highly qualified with Phd and MPhil degrees. The semester exams occur twice a year.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 2125 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is around 1500 to 2000 per year and the students have to submit an exam fee of 500 to 600 before the semester exam twice a year. scholarship can be achieved as such all reserved category students can get Oasis Scholarship up to 5400/- a year and Swami Vivekananda scholarships are there for all candidates and can get up to 18000/- a year.

Campus Life

Every year the college authority holds a lot of events like Saraswati Puja, Holi, Rakhi Purnima, Freshers Party, Teachers Day, Anual Fest and a lot more. The college library is aslo awesome, filled with full of books. All the classrooms are very neat and clean and fully furnished. Some classrooms have projectors and are air conditioned. Every year the college organised annual sports. Also, NCC and NSS groups are there

Admission

The admission process of Siliguri College is completely based on merit list. There is no enterance exam. students who score good marks in higer secondary exam can easily be admitted. Every year college releases admission notifications on their website and students can easliy fill the form through the official website. In every depertment there are some seats reserved for reserved category students, so reserved category students can avail reservation benefits. The entire admission process is completed online mode only so the entire process is completed with full of transparency.

The course is a complex and vast one, with multiple areas in focus, which itself is a merit as it serves its purpose in training a Christian minister for all the challenges. The course is more praxis than a confined theoretical classroom. Certain improvements in teaching methods can be brought up. Teachers must ensure the students' study and find some way to monitor it. Course Curriculum Overview:

This curriculum is enriched with literature works by British and American writers which is really enjoyable to read and the Teachers make it more exciting. Teachers are really good at explaining every single point in the syllabus. In the history of literature part they give us notes about each and every write a and there works so that we are familiar with most of the part of our syllabus. They does not teach only for the exams but they make sure that we learn everything with depth. We have a semester exams in every 6 month but sometimes it becomes 7 or 5. But the teachers are really supportive so that we don't panic in our exams.

I Choose this because Bengali subject I understand most. The faculty is very good and the student ratio is very good 70 students studied in the Bengali class. Qualification is 80 percent result to approve merit list and teaching method is very good. 2-semester exams in a year and passing were very simple.
