Course Curriculum Overview

Mining is a very important course.it provides a very high-profile job. The faculty and student ratio is 7:60. In the mining branch, teachers are very disciplined. And they are very strict and they suddenly take the internal exam.

Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 750 per year

Internships Opportunities

No companies offered stipend-based internships. Actually, we have to pay money for the internship. Sir gives us minor projects and major projects for experience and better understanding. And we understand better for that.

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester, students become eligible for compass placement. Genwel, tata, Jindal Steel, Mittal Steel, and many other companies come for vacancies. Approx. 60? of students get placement. My plan is pdpt training and then getting a well-salaried job.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no fees to be paid extra you have to pay only semester fees like the amount of 270 somethings. There are many scholarships like Vivekananda scholarship, oasis scholarship, national scholarship, etc.

Campus Life

Our college does not conduct an annual fest. We students conduct an annual fest with our money. College doesn't give time to play sports activities. There is a sports week held in winter. There is a new union group.

Admission

After 10 passes you can fill up jexpo and select a college. You can find jexpo form from wbscte website. No reservation. The online site should be improved. Due to corona, we didn't take any exams and we got selected help of the 10th mark.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

Placement Experience:

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Overall a good college with best placement

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in the final year of the diploma course. Most companies like Wipro TCS visit our college. The average package is 5 lahks and 90 percent of students got placed in every branch.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

Placement Experience:

After the 5th Semester apparently companies start interviewing students. I am going through campusing right now. I have been selected by Aurora for further interviewing. Highest package is of Jindal around 17k and average package is 11k with accommodations. 85-90% students get placement. I am planning for higher study completing B.tech after getting the degree.
