Likes

The campus area is fairly large and has a good library as well as many departmental buildings.
Our campus has a sizable exposure for extracurricular activities.Personally, I enjoyed that, and that went for sports, clubs, events, party nights, etc.
Due to the variety of people from different regions of the country, I have learned about a variety of people, their environments, and other things.

Dislikes

Because there are so few internship and placement options in our branch, I don't enjoy them here.

I didn't pick this class because I was interested in it. It was all based on how I did in JEE Mains. There aren't too many students for every teacher, so you can handle your studies by asking questions and getting answers whenever you need them.

Most software companies do take part in the placement committee and give many students jobs based on their skills. In their third year of high school, many internships were also given to students by their training groups.

Placement Experience

There is a great likelihood that you will be placed after you get to school, and all you need for a higher placement are essential abilities. Placements often take place in the seventh semester, as you can see from the statistics from the previous years.

Fees and Financial Aid

It doesn't cost as much to study here as it does at some other top private colleges, and a lot of students get scholarships. Help with money is only given for internships and getting advice from our experienced teachers about the future.

At NIT Rourkela, there are three main fests where you can improve your skills in the area that interests you. Any library has books that can help you with your studies as well as books that tell stories. In college, people play a range of games.

The process of getting in was pretty simple, and the JOA staff even helped me with it. I'm in the general group, so I don't get any help with reservations. On the main website of NIT Rourkela, I found the registration form and the fees

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Overall the college and the campus is very good but the exam pattern is worse so it should be improved

The course and curriculum is nice as they are interelated to each other and encourage us to study more and makes us more curious to learn new things but we have some minor course which I don't think it is required for the course and we only have some credits for that course not even exam is being conducted

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

NIT ROURKELA THE ACTUAL REVIEW
