What Students Say

Likes

Campus of the college which is quite big and looks like a 5 star hotel from inside
Cafeteria is also peaceful place for students which provides every variety of foods on paid basis
Ground is also quite big where we can play every sports and college has all equipments

Dislikes

Lack of proper sports equipments as the equipments are quite old
Grading system as we carry only 2D's in a year
Exams as the exams are quite tough and very difficult to pass

Course Curriculum Overview

Term exams are conducted every six months and difficulty level is also very high to clear it as I have seen many of my friends who were not able to pass at the end of terms. Also, midterms are also conducted in the mid of every term

Internships Opportunities

There are many internship opportunity provided by our placement committee for every department like Hr, Marketing, finance, law, etc. The company come and conducts an interview accordingly the students are selected for the company

Placement Experience

There are placements available for every school in our college. There are 4 schools in our college - School of commerce, school of law, School of Management and a School for engineering. The placement packages vary from a range of 6-19 lakh p.a.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got an internship opportunity from my college which was Tirupati where I was given the opportunity in the finance department of the firm. It was a months internship and I had got a stipend of 7000/per month

Campus Life

There are many clubs in our college, which include a literacy club, finance club, a Google Clouds club , a events club, a sports club, a tech team club, a rotary club and many clubs which give you outside knowledge about the world

Hostel Facilities

A hostel facility is provided in our college for students who opt for it. The rent is 18000/month for an AC room, and the meal provided is quite good. There's also a gym with all the equipment required and also a playing room with table tennis, a carrom table and a pool table and also a big ground for students

Hostel Fee: INR 300000 per year

Admission

There should be no reservation system and admission should be given to only the deserved ones. Also, the entrance exam should be mandatory in every college rather than giving them admission according to higher secondary marks

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects are all theoretical, don't expect practical knowledge, syllabus for many subjects is very extensive and Faculty wont even complete the syllabus. You need to study most of things on your own. They would bombard you with 3 tests for internal assessment for each subject and sometimes they take it as suprise test and sometimes even test for 2 subjects might clash on the same day.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In 10th i got good percentage , but was not intereted that much in science , so i took up Commerce + Maths , then passed my 12th standard with 93% and i realized my decision was good. Then after 12th i had to do graduation so i choose B.com + Hon. As this seemed me the best option rather that BBA or any other. On an average , in my college , there were 40 - 50 students in each batch. There were different teachers for different subjects. There was not much mess and the teachers were enough to handle and teach all the students . Teachers in government colleges have years of experience , thats the reason many people get into these colleges , in my college too teachers were qualified and were ready to clear any doubt . We were having 2 semesters in the year , half - half course in both , these papers arent too difficult to pass if there was a proper study. I dont found these papers much difficult.

Nothing but truth

I applied in IIM Rohtak, IIM Indore and symbiosis Pune but got rejected in all of them, in both the IIMs I was not able to clear the cut off and in symbiosis I was not able to qualify for personal interview that's why I chose NMIMS Indore because it was my last option. Getting admission in NMIMS Indore is quite easy you just have to clear NMAT even with a low score you can get admission. The only exam accepted by NMIMS is NMAT and 1 month of studying can get you into NMIMS Indore....Read More

Nmims admissions are conducted very early as compared to many others and not knowing about that i joined this college which feels like a mistake as could have got into colleges of IPU and be near to my home insted of this which is very far away from my home and didn't take chandigarh campus because its first batch will be graduating this year . This is tactic that they play by conducting admissions early and trapping them into this college . An overview of life at NMIMS Indore

I applied for various colleges like VIT ,BITS, MANIPAL and even some local colleges like IPS, MEDICAPS, ACROPOLIS. I chose NMIMS because of the crowd and the campus. Primarily i was not prepared to leave my city and wanted to persue B TECH in indore only and there is no better college for engineering than NMIMS.
