Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course because the merchant Navy has good pay packages. This Mumbai campus takes only 40 students per batch. In our college, there are 160 students (4 years B.Tech). The faculty are all from the Marine field (RTD chief engineers and captains). The University conducts semester-end exams twice a year

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 157500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for IMU is 225000/ annum. There would be no scholarships for Btech students. Financial assistance can be taken from banks under educational loans. The campus placements will be starting in the 6th semester and afterwards

Campus Life

Life on campus is very much friendly. There would be many cultural and technical events frequently. There would be one annual fest every year. Students from various colleges attend the fest called 'Prayaan'. Sports hour is allotted every evening after academic hours

Admission

IMU-CET is the entrance test to get into IMU colleges. I found it in a newspaper. you can avail or find the application on the IMU website. I did not avail of any reservation except OBC. The eligibility is to clear 12th with 65% and maths in it

REAL INSIGHTS OF RIZVI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this college is under mumbai university so this college cannot modify syallbus in their own the have to strictly follow the university prescribe syallbus,academic timelines,rules and norms of the mumbai university. I have taken the admission in this college in the year 2024 from this year the NEP-2020 was adopted by the every indian universities and instituites. Since NEP-2020 was adopted also by mumbai university some new subjects are added to the syallabus that are oriented to financial literacy,Entreprenuianl,indian laws related subjects the syallubus of this subject is very good to see in the syallabus pdf. But the ground reality is different this subject is not given much importance by faculties the are treated as not much important subject as their are not related to our course as a result the students also take these subjects lightly.Also the professors appointed for this subjects are not much good they appoint the faculties who are recent graduates of their college who are working now as a professor in the same college. The college treat this subject lectures as an practice for the fresh faculties to gain experience of how to teach students. The core subject syallbus is same not changed the mumbai university has just changed the name of the subject. The college professors just teach the subject but they do not teach in that way that it makes us ready for real world problems.And also in the first year all the subjects are common for all the branches of the engineering which consist of subject like physics,chemistry,mechanics,Basic electrical Electronics,Engineering Graphics. It is my opinion why should an student who is studying an course called Computer Engineering so why should i read the subjects of the other branches like civil,mechanical,electrical and electronics in my first year instead of my domain subjects for whole two semester and the timespan of almost an year

Placement Experience:

Placements of the college are good . They are incerasing year by year . As now college is made autonomous placement is also good in the college. Companies like TCS , CAPEGEMINI, like such big companies are also coming to college . as such college have developed the placement ratio . the higest package offered in the college was last year it was 18 lakhs . average pacakages offered in the college is betweeen 3 to 7 lakhs . but the students are geeting placed from college. Near about 70 to 80 percentage of the students are getting placed every year.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students get eligible for placemnets and from 4th semester students get eligible for internships. Dell, Oracle Tcs and many more such companies have visited the college The highest package is 50 lpa for MCA in computer science while the highest for B.TECH CSE is 44.14 lpa. Many good companies such as J.P. Morgan and Goldmann sachs have also come here for placements. The average package is 6lpa. Approximately from Computer science across 70 to 80 percent students are getting placed every year. After my B.tech Degree I would be pursuing my Masters degree from abroad.

Basically I want to join only this college and I had only applied for this one and other than that I hadn't given axams for any other colleges and for getting admission in our college is through a particular platform. Firstly you have to give IMU CET exam and you have to clear your 10th and 12th with atleast 60 % in english and in 12th atleast 60 % in PCM . For my college and course last year cutoff was approx 900 rank and in 2022 it was approx 1600. And my overall experience was very good because when I came to this college they helped me a lot and guide me what to do . Another thing which also had to be done was a medical from a prescribed DG approved doctor if you aren't medical fit then you are unable to join this college ....Read More
