Remarks

Overall, its a wonderful experience to be a part of DTU family. This college has given me a lot, which I cannot sum up in this review but yeah, it's pretty much great to be here. I am in my third year right now, and I'm sure I'll miss my college once I graduate from here.

Entrance Preview

Every engineering aspirant has to go through JEE mains examinations; it is a common entrance exam for most of the technical universities in the country. An All India Rank (AIR) decides your admission in DTU. You need an AIR of less than 10000 approximately to get admitted in DTU. The exam is followed by a counselling process conducted by the college itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am a Computer Science student, it’s all about coding languages and software development. DTU has updated computer labs under which the students are regularly evaluated, professors provide practise assignments on specific topics and hence a lot of focus is given on practical knowledge. As you pass on the years, the course becomes more branch specific. There are multiple elective subjects to study in a particular field of knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, students do get internships from the college. When 4th year are getting placements, third year students are eligible to sit for the internships offered by those companies (if any). Average stipend I'd say, is , Rs. 20k-30k which I think is a lot. Many of the companies that come for both internship and placements often hand us the PPO letter after the internship. This is just due the the reputation of our college.

Placement Experience

5

DTU has one of the best placement scenes and is inline with IITs and NITs. Almost all students (eligible) get placed by the end of the academic year. Jobs are offered in all fields in all big companies like Samsung, TCS, Deloitte to name a few. The average package that is usually offered in DTU is around 11-12 lakhs but highest packages even touch the crores.

College Events

5

Our cultural fest (Engifest) is one of the most sought after fest of the Delhi-NCr. Last year, we had Nucleya and Sunidhi Chauhan for the star night and the footfall crossed more than 50000. Amongst others, we have a sports fest, a literary fest (called Yuvaan), and a tech fest too. The Deltech MUN held in our college is amongst the best MUNs across the Delhi-NCR circuit.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since, DTU is a government funded institute, it is very much affordable. The whole 4-year of bachelors in technology cost approximately 4 lakh. The fee structure includes tuition fee, development fee, one time refundable security deposit etc. you can go through the whole updates fee structure through the official university website. Here is the link dtu.ac.in.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any loan facility and I don't know about scholarships that our college might be offering. If its offering any, then I am sure, it must be mentioned on our college's website.

Campus Life

4.5

There's a fair balance between academics and extracurricular activities in our college. Many societies are there in the college of almost every domain so it's up to students if they want to utilize the chances given in front of them. I am personally active in technical societies.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No, I am not a hosteller but I have heard that rooms at the hostels are very well maintained. They provide facilities like hot geyser, badminton courts, television room, common areas etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Well, the student alumni interaction is quite good and yes, our alumni have scaled our college's reputation. Alumni are often called in the college during workshops and othetr events so one-to-one interaction is also possible.

Exam Structure

In DTU, examinations and labs have a very chill environment. Each lab is evaluated differently than the theory subjects. There are mid-sem , end-sem exams and other than that the evaluation is done based on teacher’s assessment as well.

Faculty

3.5

DTU has a mixed batch of professors. Some are very helpful, while others just deliver a lecture and do their job. Professors are very well qualified and experienced and that can be reflected from the way they teach us. The teachers provide assignments, notes on a regular basis to avoid last minute confusion of what to study for exams.

Placement Experience:

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.
