Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Computer Science Engineering because I have always been interested in coding and wanted to learn how to build and design software applications. The faculty members are well-trained to teach their subjects. The term exams and conducted every 1.5 months and the marks we get will be our internals which are very important as it is converted and added to the final scores we get in the end semester.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

From 6th semester students are eligible to apply for placements. The highest package and average package offered stood at INR 57 LPA and INR 7.58 LPA, respectively. Further, a total of 1,153 companies visited the campus for placement and made 8,609 offers to the students during placements in 2023.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure depends on the rank we get in the university entrance exam. When I joined the fee was around 3.5 lakhs. But the current fee for the freshers is 4.5 Lakshmi yearly. It does not include any exam fees or other expenses.

Milan and Aaruush are the two main events in SRM where Milan is the cultural fest and Aaruush is the tech fest which is conducted in the month of March and October respectively. Talking about the library, our college has got the biggest library with 3 floors where a wide range of books and journals are available.

Admission

A minimum of 60% or above in 10th and 12th grade is required to apply for the entrance exam conducted by the university. All the information regarding the application form, application fees, and application dates are mentioned on the university's official website. The admission process was online for me and it went really well compared to other colleges I have applied.

Time and Future

Placement Experience:

Placements starts from the 7th semester.companies Like tcs,wipro,zoho,infosys vist. The highest packages is 24lap,average 3lpa and around 85%of student get placed. I plan to start my career in IT and gain experience.

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

Our placements are as good as any college or university in India. Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Deloitte, and any company which is into software comes at our campus for placements. Average stands at 8 lakhs but students of our campus has grabbed packages of 50 LPA as well.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

The truth of RMD ENGINEERING COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Chose SRM University mainly because of its strong reputation in engineering, excellent infray,and placement opportunities.I has applied to a few other private universities like VIT Vellore and Manipal University.while I did get a confirmed admission from one,i felt SRM had a more vibrant campus life,better connectivity to Chennai City, and a strong alumni network. I am a dropper, I got 75k something rank but that year cutoff for the colleges in Delhi skyrocketed for general category like nothing before. So I didn't get any college in Delhi, took a drop and applied then here at this college and Amity University Noida. I cleared both bht I preferred this college over Amity University because of many reasons - fees, cultural activities, student crowd, placement.
