Remarks

College is good for everyone. Campus is best. Unique infrastructure is best part of the college. Every department us fulfilled with all required machines and kits and computers.

Entrance Preview

I gave CET taken by DTE Maharashtra to take admission in SGGS. More than 130 marks required to get admission here. And the main thing is no interview is required.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course I have taken is Information Technology which is best in this college. The teachers teaches us as pint of view of future requirements of companies. Communication skills are developing and more focus us on Practicals.

Internships Opportunities

College provide internships in vacations from various companies or our alumni offers internships to us and the also stipend for this. More than 4 k per month.

100% placements are the best thing of this college. Maximum IT sector companies comes and hired many students from the college. TCS Buyju, infosys, many companies comes every year.

I pay 60000 per year in this college from open category. The category concessions are given by college so all students are affordable by fee. SC and ST student get free education from our college.

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

Review of SGGS College Sector-26, Chandigarh by a first sem student (Honest review)

I applied to other 5 colleges too which are affiliated by Panjab University and have BCA course. Seats from two colleges were offered to me, one from the college I took admission in and another from the 50 sector post graduate government college. I didn't take admission in the 50 sector post graduate government college because of campus. That college has small campus compared to SGGS college. My admission got rejected in other colleges like SD college, DAV college, PGGC Sector-11 because of there high merit list. The procedure for taking admission in my college is simple. First you need to fill a form in which you have to show your 12th and 10th examination marks and then they prepare a list and give admission to those who have high percentage. Then they call you and offer seat. If you are interested in taking admission then say them yes and then the staff will ask you to pay the admission and tuition fees and done.
