The library has a good collection of books
Despite of old infrastructure, the labs & their equipments are well maintained
The campus environment if frindly & fests are frequently organised. Also, the canteen has some good quality food.

The college charges a large amount of money on top of the university fees for semesters,

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it is one of the fields of biology that interested me much & has good overall job opportunities and research in future There are around 8 faculty members for 20 students The faculty is mostly qualified i.e. they all have master degrees & some have phd The exams are held every 5-6 months & are extremely tough to pass.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 11000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike has been rapidly increasing with time. When the University charges just 960-1000 for each semester the college additionally charges around 3600 to 4000 along with it despite being a government institute. I did not get any kind of scholarship or financial assistance although I was in dire need of it

Campus Life

There are a number of fests held in the college 3-4 times a year during Holi, Bengali New Year, Durga Puja & Saraswati Puja. The availability of the book is good The amenities of the classroom are workable but too old Sports are much encouraged in the college, especially cricket

I applied for my college admission online, directly through the college's website from my nearest cyber-cafe & was able to collect the application form form thereafter submission of fees Admission fee amount: 6090 Date: 29/9/2021 Time: 11:50 am I did not get any reservation benefits

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum in this college is uoto date, very relevant and with at par with the real world scenario, we learn about disorders, different schools of psychology and a lot more. There is a perfect balance of practical and theory, which is needed in psychology. In terms of improvement, there is always room for it, as of now there arent any suggestions from my side. The frequency of exams are fine, they give us time to prepare however I feel like as, according to the NEP, the semesters should be 6 months long but here they are cutting it short.

Students get placement offers in the first year of M.Stat. In general, however, most students prefer to go abroad for higher studies. Students who sit for placements mostly get placed in Finance and Analytics companies, typically in Business Analyst, Risk Analyst and other roles. ISI has a 100% placement record for B.Stat- M.Stat students. Companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Co., JP Morgan & Chase, Amazon, etc. come for placements.
