Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I liked mathematics very much and I scored the highest mark for mathematics from the younger class. Then after my school-level studies, I decided to join Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Or related subjects. Then Statistics is a branch of mathematics and also now Statistics is a very important and very hopeful subject. Then I choose my Bachelor's degree in Statistics. Our department Is very small it consists of the Head of the department, 2 Professors, and the 3 batch students. In my class 25 boys and 25 girls. All my charming faculties are Doctorate in Statistics. They are very brilliant and powerful to manipulate the students. Every day the classes start at 9.30 AM and end at 4 PM. Teachers are very much dedicated to completing the syllabus and conducting exams at the right time. They also helped in our Project and Practical work. Conduct class tests at the proper time. Internals after every semester and properly evaluate the paper. Mostly Statistics subject is a little tough. It's not very easy to pass exams.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Our final semester is on Corona time. So our batches do not get internships. But my seniors and my super seniors got it from Thiruvananthapuram Techno Park. Kochi Infopark, etc. So many students got it and they got a strong and bright future.

Placement Experience

2

Before Corona, there are so many placements confirmed. But after corona, its quantity is relatively small. But few ones of companies are coming. Only the students who passed in all the semesters are brought up to the placements. There is no criterion in the mark. Only pass mark. Those who performed well in the interview got the placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Above I mention that the admission procedure is based only on the higher secondary mark list. Then admission is only with the merit or rank list. So there are no fee structures for merit students. Only admission time amount, Identity card, texts, books, etc. There is a lot of scholarship provided by the Government. Premetric scholarship, post-metric scholarship, etc.

Campus Life

3.5

The college is well structured for both academic and extracurricular activities. There are so many clubs and social working campaigns in our college. NCC, NSS, Tourism club etc. It's very important in the sports and arts field. The teachers, and management are gives every opportunity and strong support to the students. Conducted all the programs. Film actors are the chief guest. There is a big library in my college. That's full of books and texts for every stream. Our college is one of the colleges under Kerala University have so many courses provided.

Admission

The eligibility criterion is a higher secondary mark. Only the students those who study in the Science stream with mathematics as one paper can apply for this course. The admissions are based only on merit. The applications and others through only online. There are some little application fees. We get 10-20 days for the application time. In Kerala, there are so many universities. Kerala university, Mahatma Gandhi University, Calicut university, kufos, Cusat, etc. MSM College is under the Kerala University. Different universities have different rules and regulations in the admission procedures. There are reservation categories. Scheduled caste, Scheduled tribe, physically disabled, etc. Those who have in these categories got a reservation in the admission criteria. I dont get that one. I got my course based only on my higher secondary mark. There are also benefits to extracurricular activities. Like NCC, SPC, NSS, Sports, Arts, and Work experience. Reservations are good, but it gives to the right way.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
