Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching staff are good in behaviour but they didnt provide any relevant suggestions about the last time revision last time exam suggestion and they should have to upgrade their teaching method. They should have included a daily mock test after the lecture has been ended.

Class Size: 300Course Fees: INR 11744 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee structure is too high in comparison to other universities college because those who belong to a poor middle-class families are not able to pay the college fees, and colleges did not give any scholarships to the students.

Campus Life

The is best in this criterion because they took an annual sports function, cultural function and they organise freshers' party for those who are newly admitted to this college .college has a good quality library and much more.

Admission

I want to see an upgrade in the college website i.e when I was filling out the admission form I didnt get any notification on my no, my suggestion to the college is they should bring a method to send daily notifications related to admission on mobile no, and one more they should have also brought repayment method i.e the payment date is expired then a new payment date should be announced.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.
