Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Electrical Engineering because there is a good scope. Faculties are very knowledgeable and very friendly. Faculties teach us very well. Exams happen as WBSCTE schedule and questions are normal. If you read well then it was very easy to pass the exam so don't worry just read what the teacher teaches you.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 24000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In our time course fee was 12000 per semester as per WBSCTE rules and it was not hiked during the course. In our time hostel fee was 2500 per month. I didn't get any scholarships. There was various scholarships programme if you were eligible then apply.

Campus Life

The campus was not so large but it was large enough. A cultural fest and sports were organised every year and prizes give to the winner. The classroom was good and the facilities were enough for students. There was a canteen on the campus where you get good quality food.

Admission

The normal process is just to fill up some forms because I get into college through counselling. Staff behaviour was good. After clearing jexpo counselling done by wbscte, it's an online process. So don't worry just clear Jexpo.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

Highest package is of Jindal around 17k and average package is 11k with accommodations. 85-90% students get placement. I am planning for higher study completing B.tech after getting the degree.

Crescent foundry and so many companies are visited our campus and offerd almost every students for job.the highest package is 1.80 lpa and lowest is 1.44 lpa. There re almost 60 percent students are placed and rests are getting prepare for next campusing.My plan is doing job after completing this degree.
