Likes

It has a great infrastructure like classrooms, libraries, hostels, canteen, medical room, etc
The food available in the hostel and canteens is nutritious, and the hostel rooms are spacious.
The teachers of the institutions are highly qualified and help students in various academic activities

Dislikes

Teachers here were helpful, but their teaching quality is not very good, so we have to manage to study on our own.
The quality of labs was adequate, but the classrooms were in extremely bad condition.

Teachers in our college are helpful, experienced, and motivate students. They help students to involve in extracurricular activities. Teachers make the concept very clear and provide hands-on experience. They clear the doubts of the students and broaden their thoughts. There is a good faculty-to-student ratio. It is very sincere about their term exams and like other universities, it is difficult to pass

The company with the highest number of job offers (178) in 2022, followed by Wipro (75) and Infosys (60). The highest package of INR 17.34 LPA was offered during the placements. Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a state govt. university, it is very affordable and there is also many more scholarship opportunities and concession in tuition fee waiver. There is National Scholarship, a State Loan stipend and many more scholarships

Campus Life

Hostel facilities are adequate for 4000 students. Apart from all well-furnished rooms with modern toilets and other amenities.Campus life is awesome. There are so many clubs : technical, dancing, singing etc and fests students can join.color TV, Computer & wi-fi internet facilities, Newspaper & Magazines are available for the students.

Food menu is dynamic. It’s dependent on the mess secretary of the month who varies every month. Mess secretary is chosen from among the students by facing a formal interview with the warden of the respective hostels.This is only the case with boys hostels. I really don’t have a clue about girls hostels. Coming to cost, it is very cheap. Food is serves 3 times a day . The total cost is around Rs.85 per day which is deducted from the money the students have paid in advance. The hostel mess fees is Rs.12,000 per semester out of which 1,000 Rs. goes in the development fund. Quality : I won’t say it is the best food you will have but it is made in such a way that no student in our hostel fell sick eating the mess food. Yes, not even a single student.

Admission

Fill out and submit the OJEE or JEE Main online application form. Appear for the OJEE or JEE examination. Meet the OJEE or JEE cutoff requirement to qualify. Participate in the OJEE or JEE counselling process. Yeah. All the seats and all the reservations in VSSUT are reserved for students Residents/natives of Odisha state only. The category-wise reservations are 8% for SC 12% for ST 5% FOR Green Card holders 3% for Differently abled candidates 3% for Ex-servicemen children/ward 3% to Odia belonging to the outlying Odia category 30% of total seats and also in each category are reserved for Girls students Admission is solely on the basis of JEE now

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the third year itself. In this placement season more than 90 percent of the eligible students got placed in several companies. The highest and average are yet not known. Several companies visited the campus with prominent ones being Microsoft, Dell, Xerox, Flipkart and more including several startups. After getting a degree if I am able to land a job the ok otherwise I will start my preparation for the defence sector or civil services.

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

So talking about placements then the placement trainings get started from your 5th sem onwards and you will be trained upon diff params and from 7th sem onwards campus drives gets started and around 30 companies visits each year and all the mncs comes for campus drives starting from pwc , Deloitte , accenture to tcs , infosys and ibm . So you will get ample opportunities if you have 60% score in your career

Placements are definitely there for coaching centres in my branch. Many big and reputed coaching institutions like akash, byjus etc came for recruitment. More R & D comapnis can be included. the nterview process and the packages were decent for the role offered.

University of technology, VSSUT Burla because it is one of the top government engineering colleges in Odisha with a strong academic reputation and affordable fee structure. I also applied to other colleges like silicon Institute of technology technology, but I preferred SSUT for its better placement record, experience, faculty and alumni network. The environment here is more research and project oriented which helps in overall technical growth, admission process is through OJE counselling based on JEE Mains cut-off varies every year, depending on the category branch with (CSE) electrical. Actually i applied this vssut,burla as my first priority because this is the top and number one engineering state government college in odisha as compared to another collage i applied for and also this college is famous for mechanical engineering as i also applied .So i wanted to get admission to this college and finally the admission also confirmed and i am very happy. No i can not get rejection from other collage as this is the no one state government college where i here. Another college i applied are poor in placement and those are not good in their campous curriculum as i heard so my college is best. The admission process of our college is at first we took perticipated in the ojee counselling process where we gave 5000/- then after the selection happened to this collage this college noticed intimation letter to very one and noticed us to pay the admission fee online.
