I wrote the COMED-K entrance exam and got a rank around 9900 and opted for this college in the first counseling itself. There was no interviews conducted. I was planning to chose computer science but all the seats were already full by then, so i opted for information science instead.

It was very nice as didn't feel much difference in the curriculum as compared to computer science department. We had at least two lab subjects in every semester that enhanced our practical learning as well. During the 6th sem we had a choice for the electives between operation research, programming languages, pattern recognition, CG and data compression. I went for operation research. And in 6th sem i chose Java and c#.

Yes, there are an array of internship opportunities presented before the students right from the 6th semester till the end of the 8th one. Talking to alumni we can say that the experience was very good and learning. Average stipend is 15000 INR

Placements are decent and average package offered is 3.6 Lpa. Almost all students from Information science get placed at the end of the year. So percentage of placed students is above 90%. Major companies visiting the campus are IBM, TCS, LnT infotech, Deloitte, HP, Sony, Hitachi etc

We have tech-fest, cultural fest by the name of Cultura. They are very big in terms of participation and sponsors. Average footfall is usually around 1000 and college authorities contribute a lot to make sure the comfort of such a big crowd.

Being a private institute, obviously it was a bit towards the expensive side. But compared to other colleges of similar caliber, it was better. The annual tuition fee was INR 1,37,500 plus 25,000 as college fee.

Yes, college does provide scholarship to deserving students who excel at academics, have weak financial background or to the child of Defense personnel.

Opportunities are open and ready to be grabbed every once in a while. During tech-fest we have hackathon that helps students explore technical skills and cultura for the cultural aspects.

At times, yes. but it is a part of the college experience. The institute is on little bit of a strict side when it comes to attendance. But eventually compensates all that by conducting extra classes. Per semester there are three internal exams, out of which, best 2 are considered for aggregate.

Most of the faculties at CMRIT is aptly qualified with master's degree in hand and adequate knowledge in their respective subjects. They are interactive during the class as well as afterwords. Although main focus is on the syllabus itself rather than extra curriculum.
