Remarks

There are no clubs for partying that generally college students thrive for but it has its own beauty . Overall a good place to invest your 4 years.

Entrance Preview

CBSE conducts JEE-Mains exam for entrance in IITs followed by JEE Advanced. 1.5 lakh students are selected in JEE-Mains to sit for JEE -advanced. There is no interview for the selection and rank is the sole criterion for you to land in any IIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is one of the best among all IITs in India. My college is trying to give more practical knowledge rather than making students only crammers.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are also provided by the college. Training and Placement Office invites various big names like Microsoft, Amazon, Nutanix for hiring.

Placement Experience

4.5

A decent number of students got placed in 10 days of the placement session. Nearly all (more than 80 %) got placed over the complete placement session. Some branches also reach to the magical figure of 100% placements. My college also provides opportunities to get into the research field by calling colleges for placements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is different for different categories. For general/OBC its around 2.5 lakhs per year. For SC/ST its 25000 per semester. But you can easily avail loan services from any bank because of the stature of the college.

Faculty

4

The faculty team consists of great researchers of their fields and with great communication skills also. Some of them even try to push their limits to provide you the opportunities of research.

Placement Experience:

Students from the uth and 8th semester are eligible for placements. Companies offering packages about 10 lakhs come in the college. Out of 10 ,at most 5 students get the placement easily from the campus.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Just one company visits and that too isn't up to the mark. Its PISOFT. The highest average package in our campus was 6lpa earlier. Now that also doesn't exist. We have to go for off-campus placement. Only 4 students out of a batch of 63 students. After getting the degree.I will apply in a company for a job via off-campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course of CS cyber security is one of the leading course and need of today's modern world. Cyber crime is increasing with each passing day so demand for such course will never go down. For real world application students are given practical knowledge with well maintained computer labs. Students are motivated by organising competitions like hackathon, Techfiest etc so that they work on innovating new ideas. Teaching methods are very practical. Every topic is taught keeping thought of future competitive exam. More time is given on teaching the skills be it coding or assignments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I completed my diploma in mechanical so I pursue this and talking about the faculty-student ratio, it is quite good as 2 teachers are there for every subject, so in a recent update, they made it compulsory for every teacher to have an M.tech degree and the teaching method is quite good and some of them are really good, so the exams were taken by Jammu University, the timing of sessional exams are taken every 1 and half months and it is done twice in the semester but the result took a lot of time.

Remarks:

It was the only state government run engineering college. So it was pretty obvious that the cut-off and competition to get into GCET was more than any other private college in the state. Right from the reputed and experienced faculty to the soft fee structure of the institute, it was a go to college for me or anybody else in the state. Upon joining, i opted for the mechanical engineering course because that had been my dream course, if i was to go for engineering.

College is quite good academic-wise but there is a lack of sports facilities. And the hostel facilities and the college fee are quite expensive. The college infrastructure is quite good and mesmerizing. College teachers are really very helpful.
