Skims my dream college

It is a great course, everything they teach is applied in the field, you have to be very thorough with the subjects and should have clinical knowledge. The course is almost perfect but they should focus on clinical teaching more than theory. The exams are very difficult and tiring.

There is 1 year internship program for which students are paid 12500 per month, you have to give postings in every department on rotation. You can learn everything from internship its a great way of learning and practicing.

There is 18000 per year free which include hostel and academic and bus charges. SC ST students cap apply for state scholarship and get benifits of upto 40000 for sc and upto 60000 for stgb category at the end of year.

Infrastructure is not that good, 2 students in a small room, apart from that, good life, extra curricular activities but there are no fest organised here, there are seminar and farewell parties, no freshers. There is cass union run by students

Hostel facilities is not that good, 2 students in a small room, water purifier is far from room, the mess is not upto mark, its very bad indeed, electricity is there 24*7. There are only fans in the hostel

I applied for gmc jammu but i didn't made the cut off, 2nd was skims, its the best medical college and hospital in the state, it has its own state cancer institute. The value of degree from this college is way over any other college in the state. To get admission you have to qualify neet and made the cut off

Mbbs is a 5.5 year program, which include 1 year internship, exams are held at the end of year. You have to give 4 university exams, before that everyyear send ups are given by which you get qualified for university exam, The faculty is highly qualified, the are qualified form high esteemed institutes from india and abroad like aiims, pgi, oxford university, john hopikings, harvard and many European institutions. 1st year include anatomy, physiology and biochemistry 2nd year pathology, pharmacology and microbiology 3rd year ophthalmology, ent , forensic medicine and community medicine 4th year surgery medicine gynaecology and pediatric.
