Course Curriculum Overview
The coursework of MA Development Studies is multidi-dictionary in nature so it can easily attract students. In my batch, 9 boys and 7 girls are there. All the facilities are either holding Ph.D. or Post-doctoral. Passing exams is not that tough here at IIT Mandi.
Internships Opportunities
As part of course work student is sent to any NGO that is the nongovernment organization from the institute itself in between the second and third semester (summer vacation break). Institute maximum of 20000 per student as sponsorship.
Placement Experience
Most of the students go for their status after their Master that is Ph.D. The best students were interested in jobs just after their Master they sit for placement. Aim Premji Foundation, NGO, and Raji Vika are major recruiters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for the first semester is 63,500 which includes the hostel and mess all fees. From the second semester onwards students have to pay 40000 per semester which also includes all other castes including the hostel and mess.
Campus Life
If you are getting selected hair for development studies, definitely IIT Mandi is reached with its club. Literature club, dance club music club, photography club writing club, and others are here. DJ night is always occasionally.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is called good but if you are a first-year student, you will be given three seater rooms. In the second year, two-seater rooms are given. The hostels and washrooms are quite clean. Beautiful views can be seen from any of the hostels.
Admission
Eligibility of the Course: The MA Development Studies program at IIT Mandi is a postgraduate course aimed at providing students with a comprehensive understanding of various socio-economic and developmental issues. To be eligible for this course, candidates must have completed their bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, a strong interest in development studies and related fields is usually expected from applicants.
Interview Experience
The entrance test for IIT Mandi MA Development Studies is more about concurrent temporary issues in India as well as development practices. The same is expected in the interview. The entrance exam and interview are not tough if you are aware of contemporary India.
