Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose this course as there is a boom in this industry and my opportunities will be there in the future that's how I landed on this decision to choose this course. Well in my course there are four clusters (alpha, beta, gamma, and zeta), and each cluster has max 7 groups and each group has approx 75-80 students. Faculty: The faculty is good... the teachers are very helpful, they provide full guidance, and help us to do research and project work. And they do motivate us too. well, mostly industry trainers used to teach us not the faculty. Faculty use to keep the class record and any other problems or things related to the class. Exams: every month there are exams(Fas and Sessional tests). The difficulty level is basically based on how well you are prepared.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

I have not taken any internship from the campus yet, but the companies start coming at the end of the 5th semester for the same. projects depend on what you do on my own or you can collab with the college faculty and can make projects under their guidance.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well, every year as the freshers come the academic fee increases for them. And the transport fee increases every year, and the hostel fee increases every semester and the increment in the fee lies in 200-300rs. There is no such scholarship, well during admission time you can ask for a Scholarship if you have given jee exam. You can get an internship at the campus itself. You have to go with the same procedures for that.

Campus Life

3.5

I am in my 3rd year and there is not a single fest conducted in the last 2 years. I have listened that there is a fest called Atrangez, but it is not conducted yet. DJ parties are used to organize for the hostelers. The library is very good but sometimes it is very noisy, there is a main library and some departments have their library. Sport area is very good in our college, there are good sports people on our campus. There are many clubs like CEED (for startups), dance, music, literature, debate, coding competitions, etc.

Admission

I didn't give any entrance exam for Chitkara University. My father discusses the admission process with the person who looks up the admission process over there and pays the fee. That's how I got into Chitkara. And if you have to give jee exam then you can ask for a scholarship also.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.
