Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty of M.A. English is above average. Classes are conducted on a daily basis. Seminars and functions are held from time to time. However, the quality of education is not very good. Attendance of 75% is not necessary. The daily student attendance is approximately 25-30. Only 1-2 professors teach well, but most professors are boring in their teaching approach. The timing of exams is not fixed. they can happen at any time, and the results are often delayed. However, after the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), the condition of the faculty, particularly regarding exams and results, has improved.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college itself does not offer any specific scholarship programs. However, scholarships are provided by the Uttar Pradesh government, although not all eligible students receive them. Campus placements are conducted, but the quality of job opportunities is not satisfactory, resulting in selected students choosing not to join. On a positive note, there are no fee hikes in the college.
Campus Life
Extra-curricular activities are organized from time to time in the college. The university provides a good platform for students to participate in national tournaments. The NCC (National Cadet Corps) and NSS (National Service Scheme) are also well-known and active in the college. Many players from here have represented at the national level. However, the campus environment is not focused primarily on studying but rather involves a significant amount of politics. The library facilities are below average, but a new library with advanced technology has been built specifically for Master's students. The classrooms have basic amenities, but there are no specific student groups or organizations.
Admission
It is necessary to have a Bachelor's degree to take admission to MA English. Admission is based on an entrance examination. There are also reservation criteria. There are a total of 120 admissions available for regular seats. The fee for the first year is 2520, and for the second year, it is 2320. Additionally, there will be a separate examination fee of 1200.
